David and Kylie have spent the night camped out in the salon as Owen arrives to change the locks. Audrey's furious but David's defiant, insisting he's doing this for her own good. Audrey refuses to take it lying down and asks Mary for a favour. Using Mary's motor home as a makeshift salon, she pulls up outside and starts inviting her customers in. David and Kylie are aghast as the regulars flock to Audrey and they're left with an empty salon. Insisting they need to find their own customers, Kylie tells David it's time the salon had a revamp. They put up an 'Under New Management' sign... how will Audrey react?

When a devastated Leanne asks Ken to talk to Peter about her ban from seeing Simon, he can see how distraught she is. Ken broaches the subject with Peter but he's adamant he's doing the right thing by Simon in the long run. However, when Ken brings Simon home from school he can see how cut up Simon is and he finds himself calling Leanne and inviting her round.

When Nick notes the unit next door to the Bistro is for sale, he talks expansion plans with Eva. Stella picks up on the tension between Karl and Sunita and asks Sunita if there's anything Karl's not telling her. Sunita feels guilty when Stella admits she couldn't cope if she found out he was still lying.

Tommy's got a romantic country pub lunch planned for Tina but when his van only makes it to Viaduct Street, Tyrone can't help laughing.

When Kylie arrives at the salon to visit David, she's shocked to see he's a junior and is determined to show what he can do. Insisting she's a former customer of David's she insists she wants him to cut her hair.

David does a great job and the boss is impressed but when Kylie hands over her bank card and he sees the name Platt, he realises he's been had and orders David to get back to sweeping. Kylie's desperate to fight his corner but a row erupts which ends in David getting sacked. Back on the street, Kylie's furious at what Audrey's driven him to and insists it's time he took back what's rightfully his. David's indignation is stoked and the pair come up with a plan which leaves Audrey floored!

Carla's uncomfortable as she brings Simon home from school. Seeing a crushed Leanne, she feels guilty.

As Stella and Karl talk through their relationship, she insists he hand over his bank cards and ask Steve for his job back as she won't have him working in the pub with money. Karl does as he's told but the atmosphere's tense, especially when Sunita arrives. Alone, he apologises for what happened, insisting he owes it to Stella to make their relationship work. Covering her upset, Sunita agrees it was a mistake before guiltily returning home to meet Dev and the kids.

Sally insists on working in the office so she can get to grips with running the business before she invests. Carla's forced to bite her tongue, knowing she needs Sally's money.
Tina's stunned when Tommy presents her with a clapped out VW camper van so they can travel around the UK like she suggested.

Stella breaks down as she discovers the extent of Karl's gambling debts. She's found all his bank statements and as Karl walks in, she lets rip.

Unable to deny it any longer, Karl admits he's in a mess, he owes thousands. She throws him out of the pub and loudly denounces Karl as a pathetic, lying scumbag. Thoroughly emasculated, he leaves but with nowhere to go, it's Sunita who finds him outside and takes him back to hers.

Karl's crushed, admitting he's gambled away her money too, but Sunita's there to listen. She vows to help him break his gambling habit and insists he stay the night on the sofa. With both their relationships in a mess, will these two wounded souls seek comfort in each other?

Tommy and Tina return from Geoff's funeral. He thanks her for her support. It's clear they're meant to be together and Tyrone insists she has to tell Tommy how she feels. Alone with Tommy, Jason has said the same. As they go looking for each other, both are ready to say their piece...could this be it?

The mediation counsellor tries to work towards a solution that will see Peter and Leanne sharing custody of Simon. Peter's aggrieved, pointing out he's his birth parent. Sniping back, Leanne points out that he's an alcoholic. Peter erupts. Fearing he's played into her hands, Peter admits to Carla that he's terrified he might lose his son.


As the police question Stella about the break-in, Sunita's stunned to discover Karl still hasn't come clean. Urging her to keep her mouth shut, Karl admits he's got creditors breathing down his neck and needs £300 to buy him a bit more time.

Sunita lends him the money but when he heads to the bank, will he be able to resist the temptation to gamble? Meanwhile, Stella's stunned when bailiffs arrive at the pub wanting to recover items to cover Karl's debts. Stella's horrified as Nick is forced to pay them off. Under pressure, will Sunita reveal the truth about Karl's gambling?

Tommy's adamant he can't face Geoff's funeral today. Concerned, and talking from experience after losing her own dad, Tina points out he'll regret it if he doesn't go. Tommy feels guilty for neglecting the Hortons over the last few years but, after offering to go with him, Tina says this is his chance to say goodbye.

Faye's bored and Owen does his best to cheer her up with a trip into town. But when he offers to let a strapped-for-cash Anna off the rent for a few weeks, she's irked - does he think can he buy her affection?

Elsewhere, when Sally offers to buy Frank's share of the factory with her lottery winnings, Carla's given food for thought. Kirsty apologises to Tyrone for her behaviour.

Karl hasn't slept and making a snap decision he stages a break in at the pub, telling Stella he must have forgot to switch the alarm on and the safe has been robbed.

When Stella questions the staff, Sunita's furious. She's just said goodbye to Dev and the kids and doesn't need this. Following her out, Karl offers his sympathy and Sunita can't help confessing she's fallen out of love with Dev. As they discuss their woes, Sunita realises it was Karl who staged the break in. She urges him to tell Stella before she calls the police.

Kirsty has promised to make a meal for Tyrone, but when Tommy receives the awful news that his adopted father (actually his maternal grandfather) Geoff Horton has died, Tyrone forgets all about it as he comforts his mate. When he arrives home, a furious Kirsty hurls his dinner on the floor. When Tyrone explains about Tommy will she back down?

Paul takes Lesley to start her month long trial at the home. Eileen offers to go with him. But when it comes to it, will an emotional Paul be able to say goodbye?

Peter's furious to receive a letter from Leanne's solicitor explaining she's started her challenge for custody of Simon with a mediation meeting tomorrow. Battle lines are drawn.

Leaving Beth to look after Lesley, Eileen tracks Paul down to the cafe. In a state, he finally faces the truth of Lesley's decline, he's finally lost his wife. Suggesting Lesley now needs proper care, Eileen takes him to see Dr. Matt who agrees to go with them to look at the care home he recommended. The staff are comfortable with Lesley who soon becomes involved and it's better than Paul imagined but he's torn. Can he accept this is where Lesley needs to be now?

Karl's forced to admit his money problems to Steve but pleads with him not to tell Stella. Steve agrees but when Karl goes to put the night's takings in the safe, he quickly empties it before guiltily heading to the casino.

At the Alahans', Dev and Sunita face marital problems of their own. Dev's booked a surprise holiday which infuriates Sunita because she feels it proves he never involves her in the decision making. Putting her foot down, Sunita says he can take the kids on his own, she's not going!

Sally returns home to an immaculate house and is impressed to learn that it's down to Kevin. She thanks him for his help while the factory girls arrive to offer their support. Emotional, Sally appreciates the gesture, she doesn't know what she would have done without Kevin these last few weeks.

Marcus has coped ably with his stint at day care and enthuses to Sean about how he enjoyed looking after the kids. Sean feels guilty for not wanting to adopt. After a great night with mates, Tyrone tells Kirsty she's a top fiancee.

Paul prepares to move home with Lesley and checks it's what Eileen really wants. She confirms it is. If he won't take advice on what's best for Lesley, she can't see a way through for them.

Still refusing to consider care for Lesley, he goes to pack. But when Paul finds Lesley tearing up their wedding photos because she can't identify herself, he realises he's losing her and can't cope.

Returning home for lunch with Beth, Eileen is shocked to find Lesley crouched alone on the floor with Paul nowhere to be seen. Eileen's worried as Lesley clings to her.

Karl struggles to conceal his rising debts from both Stella and Sunita (who knows of his gambling problem). Steve discovers he's been using his old Streetcars badge to do foreigners. Storming into the pub Steve wants answers now!

When Tyrone says he's meeting Tommy for a drink and Kirsty insists on coming too, Tyrone's on edge. But to everyone's surprise, she apologises for her recent behaviour. Tyrone's chuffed as Kirsty says she did it just for him.

Marcus is in his element looking after Dylan while Sean's at work and when Maria and Fiz's childminder is ill, he offers to have their kids too. But has Marcus bitten off more than he can chew?

The search for Lesley and Amy continues. Steve finds them in the park arguing with an ice cream van owner over payment. Settling up, Steve then brings Lesley home. Back on the street, Amy's unaware of the panic and goes to hold Lesley's hand but, angry, Tracy pushes Lesley away.

Confronting Tracy, then Eileen, Paul's desperate for someone to blame. Eileen tries to calm Lesley but Jason's had enough and lets rip at Paul, claiming Lesley's a loose cannon and he can't have it all; to play loyal husband while having his nursemaid-slash-mistress on the side. Alone with Eileen, Paul tries to defend himself but Eileen knows Jason is right, this can't go on.

Gail convinces David he's doing the right thing by Audrey but Audrey's furious about the solicitor's letter and sacks him on the spot. Bringing up his past behaviour, Audrey claims she should never have trusted him. She's on the attack but when alone with Lewis, she breaks down, David's stolen her salon and the whole family is at war. Worried for Audrey's health, Lewis suggests a few days away in a B&B while the dust settles. As she hands the keys to Maria, how will David react?

Marcus and Maria are in good spirits as they return to the street and ask Kirk to babysit while they head to the pub. Seeing how happy Liam is making him, Sean calls Violet and arranges for Dylan to come and stay for the week. Marcus is thrilled.

Ken's enjoying working on the switch. When he and Deirdre continue to argue, it dawns on Steve that he's not going to rid of Ken so easily.

Eileen struggles alone with Lesley again. When Lesley gets agitated about not having ketchup with her food, Eileen dashes to the shop.

Amy's off school with a stomachache. Tracy refuses to take her to the park and sends her into the yard instead for some fresh air. Spotting her 'friend' outside, Lesley goes to play with Amy, offering to take her to the park.

Eileen returns home and is horrified to see that Lesley is nowhere to be found. As she rushes outside to look for her, Tracy is also shouting for Amy. Shouting at Eileen, Tracy demands to know what the mad woman has done with her daughter.

David's raging to find he's been locked out of the salon. Shouting that she's also removed him from the business accounts, Audrey says if he wants a war he's got one. Audrey hopes he'll now back down but David and Kylie visit a solicitor who couriers a letter to Audrey making their legal position clear.

As Maria and Marcus take Liam to the Easter Fair they're amused as they're mistaken for a couple. But Marcus is horrified when Liam's performance is cut as there isn't time. Insisting all the kids should get their turn, Marcus forces the staff to back down.

Elsewhere, Ken continues to make himself at home in the flat and even suggests paying rent. Steve refuses, hoping he won't be there that long, but he's stunned when Ken insists on cleaning the flat and helping out at the cab office by way of repayment.

Gail and David have convinced themselves that it's their job as Audrey's family to stop her from making a mistake. Lewis says we'll put the trip on hold until he's got the money but Audrey is adamant it's her salon and David will sign it back.

David refuses and Audrey accuses him of trying to steal her business so she brings out the paperwork he originally signed and tears it up. David walks out but Kylie urges him to keep fighting, refusing to see their nest egg threatened. David decides to consult a solicitor. Audrey tells a worried Lewis that she's up for the fight and changes the locks.

Eileen worries that Paul's guilt, fear and tiredness are preventing him from doing what's best for Lesley and she struggles to get through to him. When Steve visits with Amy, Lesley's interacts well. Paul sees it as proof that Lesley's fine with them but when she later becomes confused about who the girl is, Eileen urges Paul to see that this is the real Lesley.

Though Ken makes himself at home in the flat, Steve encourages him to talk to Deirdre. Ken offers to cook a meal for Steve, who's forced to makes his excuses and escape, much to Tracy's amusement. Liam shows off his Easter costume. Marcus reveals he's taught him a song for the pageant. Thrilled, Maria gives Marcus a hug as Sean feels a little sidelined.

Audrey's glad to be getting away as she and Lewis plan a round the world cruise. She needs cash, and all her money is tied up in the salon, which she signed over to David, so asks him to sign it back before they can proceed!

Audrey explains her plans but David's outraged, convinced Lewis is behind this and is after her money. Steely, Audrey points out the salon is hers and was only ever signed over to him in name . The Platts are horrified as she insists she'll have her accountant bring round the paperwork in the morning. But will David agree to sign?

Ken and Steve drown their sorrows over the complexities of living with women, and a tipsy Steve tells Ken there's always a place for him at his flat if the going gets tough. Back at home, Ken finds Deirdre giving more money to Tracy and has a go at her for sponging off them. A row erupts Ken walks. How will Steve react when he finds Ken on his doorstep?

When Maria says she has no time to help Liam prepare for his Easter Fair at nursery, Marcus offers his and Sean's services in making a costume. Maria's thrilled but will Sean be quite as pleased?

Dev and Sunita sit down to talk about the state of their relationship.. Eileen admits to Julie that she's finding the situation with Paul and Lesley difficult, as they don't get to spend any time together now he's working nights.

Audrey tells Lewis she doesn't care what people think as their secret is out. Friends and family are stunned. But Gail's furious but when they start rowing in the Bistro Nick sends Gail home to cool off. when Gail comes face to face with them in the Rovers, she's far from cool.

Lewis makes a passionate speech about how he loves Audrey. Nick plays mediator but Gail's convinced Lewis will break Audrey's heart again, and says its a your making a mistake.

Tracy moans about money or lack of it, to Deirdre whom she has invited round for tea and sympathy. Ken accuses her of freeloading. Deirdre defends her daughter but Ken's had enough as old resentments come to the fore.

Before heading to work, a guilty Sunita apologises to Dev for storming out after their row. At the pub things are tense as Karl and Sunita are forced to work together. Getting a moment, Sunita apologises for making a move but although Karl's nice about it, theirs something between them . Can they put their kiss behind them?

Marcus wonders if Sean's had any second thoughts about adoption. Will he get the response he's hoping for?


Her marriage on the rocks, Sunita goes to the pub, telling Stella she plans to get drunk. They decide to go to the Bistro together. Stella comments men aren't easy to live with.

Sunita picks up on this and is curious to know more about Karl but Stella changes the subject. Sunita quickly gets drunk and Stella's keen to get her home but Sunita wants fun and climbs on top of a car, ending up getting arrested. Stella tells Dev what's happened but he refuses to go to her rescue. Instead it's Karl who arrives at the police station to take Sunita home. Grateful, a vulnerable Sunita thanks Karl before she moves in for a kiss.

Gail and David are furious that Audrey has been playing them for fools.They decide to play Audrey at her own game. Audrey's stunned to find them on her doorstep and tries to get rid of them but Gail insists they're here to look after her. Can Audrey convince them to go before Lewis arrives back?

Leanne tells Stella she feels confident about winning the residence order for Simon.

Ken tells Tracy it's time she found a job, the free ride ends here!

As Dev cleans up the mess Amber made, Sunita's furious. Amber packs her suitcase, Desperate not to lose his daughter, Dev asks her too stay, saying Sunita just lost her temper last night and she'll apologise.

Dev takes Amber to the pub where Sunita is is expecting an apology. As she waits expectantly, Sunita is shocked when Dev asks her to apologise, explaining she'll stay if Sunita takes back her insults. Will Sunita help Dev keep his daughter or will Amber leave the street for good?

Desperate to make up for lost time with Lewis, Audrey resolves to call in work sick. But when Gail hears that Audrey's ill, she insists on calling round to the house to see her. As Gail and David arrive at Audrey's, will they recognise who's going out for takeaway?

The police are given a statement about Frank's killer. Will one relieved street resident be in the clear?

Tracy scrounges more money from Steve, supposedly for clothes for Amy. Steve bemoans the situation to Ken who promises to have a word.

The atmosphere at the pub is tense between Sunita and Karl. Karl is denying he has a problem . Dev promises Sunita a slap up meal at the Bistro later, assuring her Amber will take care of the kids. But Amber's not happy as she was planning to go to a party so when Dev refuses to change his plan she moves the party to no. 7!!

Dev and Sunita have enjoyed spending time together when they see Amber on the doorstep rowing with the neighbours over the music. Inside the house, they're horrified to see drunk students everywhere as the twins look on. Dev throws them out and Sunita lays into Amber, all her pent up anger released. How will Amber react?

As word about Frank's killer spreads, shockwaves are felt through the street.

Kylie tells Brian she's decided she wants Max back at Bessie Street but when Brian says Max's place has been given to somebody else, she storms out. Will David be able to talk Brian round and force Kylie to apologise?

Audrey and Lewis have a near miss with Gail. Tommy prepares for his date with Tina, really pleased going out with the girl of his dreams, then he discovers the pros and cons list screwed up in the bin. At the Bistro Tommy shows Tina the list, Tina tries to defend herself but a row soon erupts. Will they make up?

Peter has a lot to cope with, Leanne fighting for custody of Simon, Carla plans to attend Frank's funeral. Saying she needs to see it for closure,Michelle and Maria go with her, to find Sally by Anne's side. It's full of mixed emotions but as they file out of the crem, Anne speaks to Carla apologising for what Frank did.

Back at the wake is which is quiet as Anne is looking at memories of her son. Sally finds herself stumbling over some more evidence. Will the killer be unmasked?

Sunita see's Karl taking money from the till, she wonder's how serious his gambling is. When Stella asks questions about the missing notes, Sunita follows Karl to the casino where she eyes the mountain of chips. She wonders if the Rovers is paying for them Karl denies it. Will Sunita stick around?

David is not sure when Kylie sets about home schooling Max saying it'll end in disaster! Tina gets frustrated as Sean tries to play matchmaker with her and Tommy, believing it would never work as he's let her down too many times in the past.

Frank's killer has revealed themself and tries to make a dramatic attempt to leave the street. Will they make their escape before the net closes in?

Sunita begs Karl to stop but he walks away and wont discuss his gambling. Stella's questioning the staff about the missing money when Karl walks in and admits he took it. He says he needing it for car tyres which Stella seems to accept. But Sunita's genuinely concerned and tries to speak to him, Will Karl open up to her?

Max is missing his friends and Kylie's flustered when Gail gives her loads of curriculum material to teach Max. Will she back down and talk to Brian about a return to school?

Peter and Leanne row about Simon. Sean forces Tina to make a plus and minus list about Tommy, will she realise that he is the right man for her?

With alarm bells ringing, Carla asks Peter point blank did he killed Frank. He admits that he can't say for sure and she demands to know why he confessed. He admits that he did it to save her. Carla's horrified - she didn't kill Frank and now he's thrown his life away. But Peter's in luck, Stella persuades Leanne to go to the police station to reveal Peter's alibi. Will it be enough to get Peter out of jail?

At the same time, Sally consoles Anne - offering to go with her to the funeral. Then she realises what's missing from Frank's personal effects - his watch. Could this be linked to the killer? Is the murderer still on the loose?

Brian threatens Kylie with taking Max out of school if her unruly behaviour continues. But refusing to back down, Kylie retorts that she'll take Max out of school herself. David's stunned.

Sunita covers for Karl as he heads to the casino, while Lewis tries to prove to Audrey that he's sticking around for the right reasons.

Peter appears in court charged with murder, he's remanded in custody. unable to make sense of it Carla visits Peter and is shocked to realise that Peter doesn't remember killing Frank but confessed as he thought he was saving her.

Nobody has seen Anne. Sally calls at the house, where she finds a broken Anne going through Frank's belongings. Something is missing but Sally can't put her finger on it.

Leanne is really confused when she bumps into Howard, Peter's mentor from the support group. Howard tells her Peter turned up at his house drunk on the night Frank was killed. Leanne is left reeling, realising Peter has an alibi - he's innocent. Furious that he'd lie to save Carla at the expense of his son, will Leanne go to the police?

Kylie scuffles with Brian after going to the school armed with bags of chips, Nick agrees to give Lewis his job back at the Bistro, while Sunita is fed up with a less-than-attentive Dev.

Carla is at Number 1 looking for Peter and the police ring to say that he has confessed to killing Frank. As Carla reels, fearing she's ruined Peter's life, Peter is questioned again. He claims that after leaving the Bistro he rowed with Frank in the factory, then hit him with the whisky bottle. He adds that he left Frank unconscious, then went out and drunk himself senseless.

As the detectives go to verify Peter's story, news spreads. Leanne is angry that Peter could do this to his Simon and dreads telling him.But having cross-referenced his story, will the police charge Peter?

Meanwhile, Lewis spends the night at Audrey's and neither has any regrets. Audrey suggests they keep their relationship secret for now while they have some fun.

Elsewhere, Kevin's relieved he could be off the hook for Frank's murder, Kylie gives Max and Amy junk food at the school, and an exhausted Eileen struggles with Paul's new arrangement as he refuses to hear any more talk of care homes for Lesley.


Michelle tells Carla she took the contract the night Frank died. Realising this puts Michelle at the scene of the crime, Carla assures Michelle that the police won't find out if she destroys it. However, as Carla sets fire to the paperwork, Peter walks in and worries. Did she kill Frank to get her hands on the contract?

Carla realises that Peter suspects her, she breaks down, convinced the police are trying to pin this on her and she'd die in prison. Promising he won't let that happen, Peter takes matters into his own hands.

Meanwhile, the police come calling for Kevin when they discover the brakes on Frank's car were faulty after going to the garage to have them fixed. Does this put Kevin in the frame?

Rita is overwhelmed as Dennis surprises her with an engagement party at the Bistro, Lewis prepares to leave Weatherfield but Audrey rushes off after him and begs him to stay, Paul tells Eileen his solution is to switch to night shifts to care for Lesley in the day, and Simon kicks off when Peter comes to collect him from the pub.

At the police station, Carla is shocked at evidence against her.They ask why her prints are on the whisky bottle and where is the contract she signed.She knows nothing about the contract, but admits that she took the bottle from Peter the night Frank was killed. She had the bottle when she confronted him at the factory,

The police search the bookies' flat for the missing contract. The police are frustrated and, without concrete proof, Carla's released on bail.

Over at the factory, Anne fumes as Michelle calls the girls in and takes control, saying without the contract, Carla still owns 60% of the business and there's work to be done. When Carla then walks in, Anne's disgusted and demands to know where the contract is. A row breaks out and Michelle has to get Carla away - the contract is safe and she knows who has it!

Eileen is relieved when Paul agrees to talk to Doctor Carter about residential care for Lesley, Rita cancels plans for her engagement party when Karl increases the price, Kylie is furious when Brian confiscates the contents of Max's unhealthy lunchbox and then bills her for a school dinner

Under prolonged questioning, Peter cracks and tells the police he has no idea where he was when Frank died. With no evidence to hold him, Police are forced to let Peter go. Back on the street, Peter says he knows Carla thinks he done it, and won't go home with her. Instead he goes to the pub and continues to drink.

Anne has found the new contract is mysteriously missing from Frank's desk and immediately tells the police. With this information and fingerprints on the whisky bottle, the police are now convinced they have found their murderer and head out to make an arrest. Is it Peter their after or are all eyes now on Carla?

At the bistro, when Gail accuses Lewis of stealing from the till, and Nick doesn't back him, he leaves. Audrey confronts him about where he get the money for the bracelet, but then Eva comes in and says she took it to get something for the Bistro.

Elsewhere, Rita and Dennis get home and drop his bags off, then head off to the pub to tell their big news. Karl and Sunita come home after the secret night at the casino, while Paul and Lesley head to the Bistro.

Carla tries to get Peter to really think about where he was. They decide to wash his clothes and say he was home all night. Peter is taken to the police station shortly after for questioning. He tells them after leaving the Bistro he went straight home. However, Jason finds a broken whisky bottle in the builder's skip covered in blood and hands it to the police.

Back at the station, Peter is feeling the pressure and then they ask how he could have bought a bottle of whisky from an off licence when he was home with Carla,

Meanwhile, Karl feels he's just Stella's hired help and Sunita is not happy with her lot too when Dev refuses to cancel a business meeting for a night out. All dressed up with nowhere to go, she walks over to the Bistro, where Karl suggests he could take her to the casino. Will Sunita agree?

Rita and Dennis don't want to be separated but find it hard to express how they feel,The Doctor advises Eileen and Paul that they need help when Lesley scalds herself. When Nick's till is £50 light, Gail tells him it's bound to be Lewis!

Frank's body remains in the factory as the police investigate the scene. Detectives question Sally, who says "yes I was furious with him",but there are people who have much more against him. Michelle breaks the news of his death to Carla, who is really worried about Peter's absence.

Anne arrives just as Frank's body is being removed and tells the police it's Carla they should question, They call on Carla at the flat, and grill her about her difficult relationship with Frank.

When Peter eventually returns, Carla shouts and screams and demands to know where he has been. With blood all over his shirt, Carla asks him straight out whether he killed Frank.
