...or Kym Marsh as she was then. On eBay today we find a twelve inch high doll, which is supposed to be the very likeness of Coronation Street's shiny-haired barmaid, back in the days when she was a pop star.
The doll was made in 2001, when Kym was in the band Hear'Say, which was formed out of the TV talent contest Popstars. The group, which also featured Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Noel Sullivan and Danny Foster, only lasted for 18 months before splitting up. During that time they produced two number one singles and a number one album. Kym was the first to jump ship, partly due to publicity about her relationship with future husband Jack Ryder, and the band replaced her with a male singer.
You'll have to pay at least £20 to get your hands on this piece of Corrie-related memorabilia. To be honest, it looks nothing like Kym, apart from the trademark glossy black hair, but it comes with a tiny pretend-microphone for hours of fun. You have until 17 January to bid for this item, bargain-seekers.
