AUDREY_ROBERTS.JPGCoronation Street's Audrey Roberts will be rushed to hospital after she collapses on the cobbles. Concerned onlookers immediately call 999 after the gossipy hairdresser passes out in the street and an ambulance is sent to rush her the nearest hospital.

However, it turns out the health scare just a false alarm as medics reveal Audrey - played by Sue Nicholls - has just got high blood pressure and is told she must give up her beloved booze for good, according to the Daily Star newspaper.

It's been a busy few months for Audrey after Coronation Street bosses recently axed her cross-dressing lover (pictured right).

The controversial character - played by Andrew Hall - first appeared in the ITV1 soap at the beginning of the year as transvestite Marc Selby, better-known for his gruff-voiced, stiletto-wearing alter-ago, Marcia.

However, after the unusual storyline failed to strike a chord with Corrie viewers, TV chiefs admitted they may have made a mistake with the character's introduction.

A source said: "The plot hasn't been for everyone but we're glad we tackled the issue."

Marc's shock exit left pensioner Audrey devastated after a series of dramatic twists and turns forced him to leave Weatherfield for good.

7.30pm: Convinced Tracy is on the warpath, Steve has worked all night to keep out of her way and is unaware she has miscarried. Tracy soon storms round to Becky's flat, demanding to know where Steve is. Becky insists that he isn't there, but as all of Tracy's anguish erupts, she showers Becky with abuse. Admitting that she tried to seduce Steve but he turned her down, Becky assures Tracy that Steve is committed to her and the twins.

As an emotional Tracy is leaving, she trips and falls down the stairs. Seeing she's unconscious, Becky calls an ambulance. Hearing the news, Steve rushes to hospital, where Tracy reveals that she has lost the twins. A devastated Steve asks if it's a result of the fall. Tracy is about to set him straight, but sensing a chance to get Becky out of their lives for good, will she tell the truth?

Meanwhile, Audrey and David discover there is no water at the salon and they can't get a plumber before Christmas, so they're forced to relocate to the Platt house. David accuses Owen of sabotage, but he feigns innocence, offering to look at the plumbing for them. Will he fix the problem?

7.30pm: When Steve receives a letter from the tax office saying that Streetcars has been charged back-tax, he admits the business could be in jeopardy. Given food for thought, Becky sets up a meeting with a hotel manager about a possible account. Steve's thrilled, assuming he'll go to the dinner, but Becky counters that this is her deal and she's determined to prove she can be professional.

Becky does a great job with the flirty hotel manager, but refusing to let it go, Steve heads down there - instructing Karl not to tell Tracy. Despite the tension, they work well as a team. However, when Tracy forces the truth about Steve's whereabouts out of Karl and demands he takes her to the hotel, it looks like there's about to be fireworks!

Meanwhile, as Carla and Peter struggle to find time alone, it's clear that being together is like a drug and they agree to try to meet later. Carla then heads off to see her solicitor about the trial. Frank is alleging she was unfaithful while she was with him and the solicitor advises that if there's anything he can use to taint her character, she needs to speak up now. Will she confess to her affair with Peter?

8.30pm: As Becky and Steve work well together to reel Danny in, they eventually get him to agree to the contract. On a high, Becky jokily suggests they should book a room to celebrate. The sexual tension between them has been re-awakened but, mindful of his unborn children, Steve resists and they return to the street.

Meanwhile a paranoid Tracy has arrived at the hotel. She can't get anything out of the receptionist and, fearing the worst, she runs for the lifts. As she frantically scours the rooms, security are called and order her to leave. But Tracy's suddenly overtaken by an immense pain and begs them to call an ambulance. Calling Deirdre, Tracy's rushed to hospital. Has she lost the twins?

Meanwhile, as Carla meets Peter at the flat, she tells him what her solicitor said. Both know they now need to keep their affair secret and can't put a foot wrong, but as they kiss they're interrupted by Michelle arriving home. Will they be caught in the act?

The Daily Star is claiming that an upcoming Coronation Street storyline will see Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) offer to act as carer to the wife of new boyfriend, fireman Paul. Eileen started a relationship with Paul before she new about his wife's severe dementia and when the couple's care assistant leaves her job it seems Paul has to consider leaving the fire service to care for his wife full-time.

sue cleaver.jpg

But it looks like Eileen offers to step in and help her new boyfriend out by caring for his wife. It apparently quickly gets a bit too much for Eilleen to cope with, however, and she regrets her offer.

7.30pm: As Leanne worries over Peter and where he is, he wakes at Carla's. They talk about last night and it's clear they didn't have sex but there's an intense bond between these two. It's like a new dawn for them both as the burden of hiding their feelings has been lifted. As they go for a walk in the park, Peter's totally honest about his feelings and how much he loves Carla.

Meanwhile a desperate Leanne has started calling hospitals and gives Peter's details to the police. Simon is desperate for his dad to come home for his nativity rehearsal, but as Peter ignores his phone, will he come to a decision about his future?

When Owen spots a driver delivering a batch of Christmas trees for Chesney, Owen sees his chance to get revenge on David and instructs the driver to pile them on the Platts' drive. David is frantically cleaning up for a visit from social services. So how will he react when he finds their drive piled high with Christmas trees, just as the social worker arrives?

Elsewhere, Karl suspects Lloyd and Stella are having an affair; Kirsty and Tina have another row; while Jason is unimpressed when he catches Eileen writing a Christmas card to Paul and Lesley.

8.30pm: Peter tells Carla that he'll go home now, do what he has to do, then meet her later. But when he arrives back on the street and is met by an angry Ken and a panic-stricken Leanne and Simon, it pulls at his heart-strings. Peter is expecting Leanne to go on the attack but she blames herself for putting him under pressure and risking losing him.

Faced with her guilt, Peter counters that she'll always face losing him - he's an alcoholic and when things get tough he will always drink, so they should split up now. It's a forceful tirade aimed to shock Leanne into ending their marriage, but will it work? And when Carla waits at the factory for Peter, will he come?

Meanwhile, Karl is now convinced that Stella and Lloyd are having an affair and confronts them in The Rovers. Lloyd is forced to admit that he made a pass as Karl tells him to stick his job and bars him from the pub. Having had enough, Lloyd tells Becky that it's time to sell up and leave. Her ears pricking up, Becky makes Lloyd an offer he can't refuse!

Elsewhere, Owen is seething to discover that his van's tyres have been let down; Kirsty is put out to hear that Tyrone and Fiz have history; and Eileen finds herself offering more help to Paul when he comes to thank her for the card.

Corrie's traditional Xmas birth will be even more Christmassy than usual this year when teenage mother-to-be Katy Armstrong (Georgia May Foote) goes into labour while dressed as the virgin Mary.

georgia may foote.jpg

When Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) has to drop out of a nativity performance Katy step in to replace her but then things get a little too realistic and Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) has to deliver the baby.

To add the silliness, Chesney (Sam Aston) then arrives on the scene on a stolen bicycle dressed as an elf. Apparently he's been wearing the costume as part of his job selling Xmas trees and grabs the bike when he hears about Katy.

Just to round up the festive feel to the story they decide to name their baby boy Joseph.

Heart-warming innit?

As Peter heads to the hospital to visit his sponsor from AA who's had a relapse, it's clear that he's still battling the cravings to drink himself. In the hospital, he's shocked to see how far Jonno's health has deteriorated since he fell off the wagon and the prognosis isn't good.

Back on the street, reminders of last year's tram crash are all around. Revealing that he's now been taken off Jack's birth certificate, Tyrone admires Peter for being able to put Leanne's infidelity behind them. But as Leanne makes plans with Stella for their wedding anniversary drinks tomorrow, Peter wonders if he really has moved on.

Relieved to get out of the pub, Peter heads to the doctor's with Leanne to get her scan results. But when Matt reveals her fallopian tubes are damaged and she won't be able to conceive naturally, it's another crushing blow for Peter who struggles to find the words to comfort her.

Aware he's on the brink, Peter heads to an AA meeting where he sees Carla. Peter tells the group his fears over making a speech at the memorial, while Carla speaks openly about her rape and how she wouldn't be here now without the help of a good friend.

The pair exchange knowing looks, but when news is delivered that Jonno has just passed away, Peter's devastated. Back at home, he tries again to write his speech but with no luck. Reaching for the bottle, will Peter drink to douse the pain?

Over the last couple of years Corrie's Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) has spent a lot of money. He's had to lay out cash because of gambling debts, divorce, to pay back money stolen by his wife and to buy children, but it looks like the gig is now up as he is going to have to put the Rovers up for sale to pay off all his debts.

STEVE MCDONALD.jpg

In a New Year storyline, Steve will offer new Rover landlady Stella (Michelle Collins) the chance to but the pub. He tells her: 'Look, if you want it then you've got first refusal. Don't let the grass grow, though, because I needed to sell it yesterday'

It's a fairly safe bet that the current investigation of Street Cars by the tax man is the reason for the sale.

7.30pm: When Carla receives a box of silk addressed for Frank for his big Leydon order, it's not long before Anne and Sally arrive at Underworld demanding that she hands it over.

Rallying round Carla, the staff claim they know nothing of the delivery, but when they later walk into the pub all wearing garments made from Frank's expensive silk, Sally's outraged and turns on Carla.

Meanwhile, Stella has spent the day working on Lloyd's accounts and rushes over to the pub, where she's got a hen party. However, she's soon stressed to hear that Tina hasn't arrived for her shift. Rushing to the cab office, she asks Lloyd to get in touch with Karl as she's got a crisis at the pub. Lloyd gets straight on the switch, but Karl doesn't reply. Where is he?

Elsewhere, Tina gets suspicious when her car is clamped and towed away following another argument with Kirsty; Sophie is keen to put Amber behind her as she and Sian plan their civil partnership; while Peter's thrown into turmoil when Emily asks him to make a speech at Friday's tram crash memorial service.

8.30pm: With Karl still not answering his phone, Stella's left to deal with the hen party alone. But just as the event descends into chaos, Lloyd arrives and gets behind the bar. They make a good team and as they clear up at the end of the night, Stella offers him a drink to say thanks.

The atmosphere's warm as Stella tells Lloyd that Cheryl was a fool to let him go. Misreading the signals, Lloyd kisses Stella. How will she react? And when Karl returns from a secret night of gambling at the casino, will he realise what's going on?

Meanwhile, Peter reveals to Ken that the anniversary of the tram crash has hit him like a sledgehammer and has made him think about things he's tried to forget. Struggling as the residents meet to discuss the memorial service, he makes an excuse and leaves. Bumping into Carla, who's upset after her run in with Sally, both admit they could murder a drink. Will either succumb?

Elsewhere, Sally grows closer to Frank as she assures him that she's on his side, while Tina is forced to pay the clampers a hefty fee to have Rita's car released.

7.30pm: Sophie's in turmoil and is desperate to talk to Amber again, but Amber insists that there's nothing to say. Sophie's confused until Amber spells it out - declaring that their kiss meant nothing and she's not a lesbian. Upset, Sophie rushes from the shop, telling Sunita that she quits. Worried, Sunita goes after Sophie, who eventually breaks down - admitting her crush on Amber.

Comforting Sophie, Sunita urges her not to have her head turned by Amber as what she has with Sian is worth more than that. Acting on this, Sophie tells Sian that she doesn't want to wait until they're 18 to get married - they should make it happen now. Sian's confused, but Sophie's insistent - she wants to express her love for Sian and wants them to speak to their parents again. Touched by Sophie's words, Sian agrees - but will they be able to get Sally to do the same?

Meanwhile, Stella is not impressed to hear that Eva is dating Leanne's ex and warns her not to trust Nick. Annoyed, Eva slates her interfering mother to Nick, who admits that it's familiar territory for him with Gail. Overhearing, how will Gail react?

Elsewhere, Lloyd receives another setback when he is notified of an on-the-spot audit for the cab office, while Tina is thrown to discover that Matt has overstated her qualifications to Nick - will she be able to fumble her way through the interview?

8.30pm: Sophie pleads with her mum, but Sally's word is final. Alone, she reminds Sophie of her kiss with Amber, claiming that it proves they're too young to get married. But fuelled by the clash with her parents, Sophie urges Sian to run away to Scotland where they can marry without permission. Sian's shocked, but Sophie's persuasive and as she talks up the romance of eloping, Sian's swept along.

At work, Frank has helped Sally to see that it's not worth falling out with her daughter over this. But when she returns home to speak to Sophie, she's shocked to find a letter revealing that she's gone. Racing to the train station, will Sally get to the girls in time?

Meanwhile, Tina rails at Matt for bigging her up to Nick - she bombed in the interview because of him. A casual Matt says there'll be other jobs, but Tina reiterates that she has a job. As Tina realises that Matt has a problem dating a girl who works in a back street pub, will she call time on their relationship?

Sophie is jealous as Amber spends time with Arj. Feeling guilty, she goes home to Sian, but as she tries to show her affection, Sophie knocks a drink over Sian's laptop - which has her coursework on it.

Sian's furious, so Sophie seeks solace at the shop. However, Amber soon confronts her, unhappy after Sophie spitefully told Dev about Arj being in the ...flat earlier in the week. Will an awkward Sophie tell Amber how she really feels about her?

Meanwhile, when Max says that he wants Becky to take him to nativity rehearsals, Kylie notes the tactful way Becky handles this. Grateful, Kylie asks Becky to join them, suggesting that it would be better for Max if Becky spent more time with him. Becky's emotional as the sisters edge closer.

Elsewhere, Sally's chuffed when Frank invites her to attend the meeting with Leydon; Gail's not happy when she discovers that Nick and Eva are an item; Stella and Karl invite Lloyd for dinner as operation cheer-up begins; while Matt hears that Nick's looking for waitressing staff and pushes Tina forward by exaggerating her experience.

Just as it was all going well for new Corrie lovebirds Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) and Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) it looks like some creosote, a dead fish and a slap will break them up.

IAN_PULESTON_DAVIES.jpg

In a storyline planned for the New Year Anna has to leave Weatherfield for a few days and Owen offers to take care of her adopted daughter Faye (Ellie-Lou Leach) while she's away. Faye repeatedly misbehaves, much to Owen's growing frustration, and when she kills his pet fish by pouring creosote into the pond he loses control and tries to discipline her with a slap. When Faye calls Anna and tells her what happens she returns home and promptly finishes with Owen.

It seems to be a return to Owen's old behaviour. When he first entered the street he was written and portrayed as an over-bearing almost-baddy boss and dad. His character was softened when he began dating Anna but this story would appear to see him back where he started.

7.30pm: As Steve heads off on holiday with Tracy, Becky tries to remain positive, refusing to leave Weatherfield. However, when she sees Max moving into the Platt house, she's jolted. Kylie's doing everything she can to settle Max into his new home, but when she receives a call from a client about a nail appointment, she's forced to rush off. Alone with Max, David does his best but as they play football in the garden, David gets into a row with Owen and when he takes his eye off Max, he disappears!

Meanwhile, when Ian comes into the Bistro to explain his company's position, Nick and Eva learn that all stock has been impounded. They head down to the warehouse to claim the wine Nick's paid for, but it's a waste of time. However, Eva vows that she isn't leaving empty handed and breaks into the building. Following her inside, Nick locates his stock. Will they get out without being caught?

8.30pm: Kylie is hysterical with Max still missing and suddenly decides that Becky must have taken him after seeing him arrive earlier. Pinning her up against the café wall, Kylie demands to know where Max is, but a stunned Becky has no idea.

Panicking herself, Becky joins the search for Max, eventually finding him in the back room of the pub waiting for her. As she takes Max back to a shaken Kylie, how will she react to the news that Max was looking for Becky? Meanwhile, with the security getting closer, Nick and Eva are forced to squeeze together and hide. It's a close shave and the sexual tension doesn't go unnoticed by either. Will they give into their mutual attraction?

.

7.30pm: As Michelle heads out wedding dress shopping, Ciaran throws himself at Nick's mercy - begging for his job back. However, Nick won't budge. Seeing his depth of desperation, Peter offers to lend Ciaran the cash he lost in order to save his relationship. Ciaran's grateful as he plans to get to the wedding venue fast and secure his booking.

However, while out shopping, Michelle and Maria have decided to have a peek at the venue. How will Michelle react when she discovers that Ciaran never paid the deposit and the date has gone to someone else?

Elsewhere, with Cheryl and Ciaran now gone from the Bistro, Nick offers a delighted Eva the post of bar manager and Gail the job of waitress; Kylie and David win permanent custody of Max; Becky taunts Tracy as she spends her divorce settlement; while Leanne worries when Doctor Matt says that she needs some tests done to look into her problems conceiving.

8.30pm: Ciaran is forced to come clean about gambling away the wedding deposit to a horrified Michelle. Admitting that he was searching for a buzz as he's bored of living on the street, he pleads with Michelle to return to the ships with him. As Carla arrives home, Michelle's torn, but desperate not to lose him, she eventually agrees.

Ciaran calls the cruise ship manager before revealing that they need to leave tonight. But as Michelle's friends give her a good send-off in the pub, how easy will it be to say goodbye?

Meanwhile, Nick's concerned that the wine he paid for still hasn't arrived, and he quizzes Eva about the supplier she introduced him to. When she goes looking for Ian, she's horrified to find the wine warehouse closed with a sign declaring bankruptcy. How will Nick react to this and the news that Ian is Eva's ex?

So, we know that Sacha Parkinson, who plays Sian Powers, is leaving Corrie. We also know that Sian and Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) are planning to marry. We also know that Amber (Nikki Patel) gave Sophie a fake snog/ peck a few weeks back. This much we know. What we don't know is how Corrie bosses thought that one diddy kiss would prove enough reason for Sophie and Sian to end their relationship. But it looks like that's what they have planned.

SIAN POWERS.jpg

It seems Sophie will finish with Sian because she is 'confused' about her encounter with Amber and then go on to tell Dev(Jimmi Harkishin) that his daughter is gay. Result? Amber denies it, Sian leaves the street and another Weatherfield wedding cake goes un-scoffed.

Sorry, but all of this is a bit weak. Sacha Parkinson's departure from the soap is a real shame for many reasons - she's a good actress, Sian's relationship with Sophie has been sensitively handled and Sacha seems to regret her decision to be leaving - but this plot device seems particularly badly established and it sounds like it will pay off equally unsatisfactorily. One kiss is enough to break up a solid couple? Unlikely.

Maybe all will be well. Maybe the writing and performances will make it work, but it could just as easily a duffer of a way to see off a popular character.

Ciaran has worked all night to get the buffet ready, and as he delivers the food, he thinks he's pulled it off. However, Ciaran panics when the customer claims that his work's not done yet - he needs to be at the venue to serve the food. Enlisting Tina's help, he asks Gail to open up the Bistro and races off.

It's touch and go as Ciaran avoids Nick's calls and even bumps into Audrey at the party, but he pulls it off. However, when Michelle lets rip at Nick for making Ciaran work all night, and just as the customer meets Ciaran to hand over the cash, will Nick smell a rat?

Meanwhile, Rita's worried as Dennis didn't come home last night, so she decides to call Norma Dixon to see if she knows why. Rita's shocked to hear that Dennis was engaged to Norma, but ran off on the day of the wedding. Will Dennis come back and explain himself?

Thumbnail image for SIAN POWERS.jpg Sacha Parkinson, who plays the Street's Sian Powers, has infuriated Coronation Street bosses by revealing one of their festive secrets.

The 19-year-old actress was filming her final scenes on Friday and tweeted pictures from the set - revealing Weatherfield will have a white Christmas this year, much to the annoyance of programme chiefs who wanted to surprise viewers.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was supposed to be a surprise for the festive episodes. Next thing it's plastered all over Twitter. Sacha even tweeted how beautiful it looked.

"Cast have been warned about leaking storylines on Twitter. It seems she forgot."

Meanwhile, another forthcoming secret from the soap has been revealed.

Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) will miscarry her twins - but accuse arch rival Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly) of killing them after a fight days later results in her falling down a flight of stairs.

The pair row after Tracy accuses Becky of sleeping with estranged husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), branding her a "rotten bitch", an allegation her rival denies and in the resulting skirmish, Tracy falls.

See the full story here.

A panicking Ciaran heads to the wedding venue, where he launches a charm offensive on the manager. She agrees to hold the date until Friday, and with the clock ticking, he heads out to see Karl. Ciaran begs him to forget last night, explaining that he needs his wedding deposit back, but Karl refuses - he won it fairly and he's lost most of it in the bookies anyway.

Desperate, Ciaran turns to Peter, buttering him up by asking him to be his best man - before asking him to return his money. As Ciaran pleads the friendship card, will Peter be swayed?

Meanwhile, as Leanne refuses to tell Chris where Cheryl's gone, word spreads about his lie. A shocked Maria confronts Chris, and while he claims he did have feelings for her, he admits that Cheryl has always been the love of his life and he saw it as a chance to get his family back.

Elsewhere, Faye's not happy when she discovers that Owen has stayed the night at the Windass house; Dennis is in court for the trial of Rob and Janet from the homeless shelter, while Norris tells the Gazette all about Dennis's story.

8.30pm: After lying to Michelle about why Peter's fallen out with him, Ciaran starts ringing loan companies. He can't get the money in time and when Nick and Eva leave him to lock up the Bistro as they're off to meet a wine supplier, his mood worsens.

However, when a customer reveals that he's looking for a caterer to cover a birthday bash tomorrow, Ciaran sees a chance to cash in. Pretending he's co-owner, Ciaran does a deal, closes up and starts cooking. But will Nick or Michelle discover what he's up to?

Meanwhile, Dennis is on edge when Norris reveals that a woman named Norma Dixon has called looking for him after seeing his name in the paper. Rita questions a clearly shaken Dennis about what she might want. Will he reveal all?

Elsewhere, Becky's down after receiving her decree absolute from Steve and drowns her sorrows with Lloyd and Faye feels sidelined by Anna and Owen.

Details have been leaked regarding both Corrie's big Xmas storyline and the departure of Becky from the soap. If you don't want to know, please stop reading now.

BECKY_MCDONALD.jpg

Still with us? Right.

So, it looks like Tracy (Kate Ford) will convince herself that Steve (Simon Gregson) and Becky (Katherine Kelly) have spent the night together (we don't know if they have or not) and she confronts Becky. An altercation takes place at the top of some stairs (why at the top of stairs? Don't know. Which stairs? Don't know that either) and Tracy falls down the stairs (Fall? Pushed? Again, we don't know). Tracy is rushed to hospital and later claims that Becky is responsible for the fall and consequent loss of the twins she is carrying.

Tracy being Tracy, though, there's bound to be more to it than that. There is.

Tracy actually miscarried the babies days before but pins the blame on Becky to malign her and turn Steve against her forever. The only fly in Tracy's evil ointment is mum Deidre (Anne Kirkbride), who knows that the miscarriage happened early. Tracy implores her to keep quiet about the deception or as she will lose Steve forever if the truth came out.

There we have it - Tracy evil, Steve fooled, Becky smeared and shamed out of the street. Should make for a tasty (if not cheery) Xmas.

After a year in which Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) and Sunita (Shobna Gulati) have been Weatherfield's seldom seen couple (seriously, can you think of one plot that's involved them? 'Son can play golf' - that's not a story!) Sunita is finally going to get something to do. Sick of being undervalued and over worked by Dev she will quit the shop to work in the Rovers Return.

shobna gulati.jpg

The final straw comes when Dev buys daughter Amber a car and gives her the day off to drive it whille assuming Sunita will cover Amber's hours. Sunita tells him: 'I'm not taking any more of this. I'm fed up of being treated like a slave while Amber gets away with murder, so you can take the job and shove it because I'm out of here.'

Rovers boss Stella (Michelle Collins) then gives Sunita a job as a barmaid. OK, it's not a stunner of a storyline but at least the Alahans are finally up to something.

An emotional day for Fiz as she returns to the street after being released on bail. However, her hopes for a fresh start soon fade when Michelle explains there's no work for her and a trip to the job centre proves fruitless.

As news of Fiz's release spreads, the gossip starts. Her friends throw a surprise drinks party in the pub, but when Sally makes it clear she's not welcome, tempers flare. Can Fiz put her ordeal behind her?

Meanwhile, when Chris stops Russ from talking to Lloyd, a confused Russ decides to bunk off school. He's caught by Lloyd who takes him home to Cheryl, explaining how Chris shouted at Russ for trying to talk to him. Cheryl confronts Chris, who storms round to Lloyd's in a rage. Will there be fireworks?

Elsewhere, Michelle tells Ciaran that she wants to put down roots and have kids, Matt apologises to Tina for their row. And Tommy and Tyrone attempt to wind up Brian with their home-made UFO.

7.30pm: Anna explains to Chesney that his girlfriend and unborn child need him now. The reality hits Ches, but when Katy again says they can't afford another operation, he goes mad. At the vet's, Schmeichel has taken a turn for the worse and the vet suggests having him put to sleep. Refusing to consider it, Ches takes his dog home but as he contemplates finding another vet, there's a knock on the door from the bailiffs. Meanwhile, as Lloyd struggles to deal with Cheryl's betrayal, Karl's attempts to cheer him up don't go down well. Flying into a rage, he tells Karl that he's sacked.
Elsewhere, Tina prepares for dinner with Matt and his friends, but the evening doesn't get off to a great start when Matt suggests that her choice of outfit is a bit revealing, and Ciaran's stunned when Michelle reveals that she's loving being back on the street so much she wants to stay.
8.30pm: Owen and Anna spot the bailiff on Chesney's doorstep and rush over, urging him to come back tomorrow when they'll sort something out. The bailiff reluctantly goes, but Ches still can't think straight as he watches his dying dog.
Ches finally concedes that Schmeichel needs to be put down and calls the vet. He's overwhelmed by grief but vows to look to the future, aided by a phone call from Fiz.
Meanwhile, Tina feels sidelined by Matt's uni mates and when one of the girls reveals that she is Matt's ex, Tina's hackles rise, especially when she belittles her job. Outside, Tina lays into Matt for not defending her and when a passing PC asks if there's a problem, Tina turns on the copper - assuming they're a mate of Kirsty's. This leaves Matt mortified.
Back home, Tommy comforts Tina but will she see that he's more of a match for her than Matt will ever be?
Elsewhere, Steve tries to support Lloyd; Ciaran tells Michelle that he wants to return to the cruise ship and they both realise they want different things in life. And Tommy constructs a 'UFO' to fool Brian.

sophie and sian wedding.jpgHere are the first pictures of Sophie Webster and Sian Powers on their wedding day.

Actresses Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson were snapped during filming and the pics reveal that they will be wearing matching white, off-the-shoulder frocks.

Whether the wedding will actually take place isn't certain though with Sophie's relationship with Amber threatening to come between the love birds. The wedding is due to be screened sometime over the festive period.

According to the Daily Mail, the Coronation Street stars head to the church with the intention of living happily ever after and being Weatherfield's first lesbian marriage.

However, when Sian discovers Sophie has cheated on her, she flees the altar and leaves her other half desperately trying to catch up with her.

Brooke Vincent wedding dress.jpgSacha, who is leaving Coronation Street in 2012, previously admitted she was "fuming" when she first read the lesbian love triangle storyline.

She recently said: "I was so jealous when I first read the storyline. I was absolutely fuming. I was like, 'How could Sophie do that to Sian?'"

Meanwhile, Brooke Vincent, who portrays Sophie in the soap, admitted the emotional plot is making her act "for the first time".

She said: "It's different to anything I've ever been used to and it's made me actually have to act for the first time.

"I think a lot of my own personality has come in to my character for the past eight years and now I'm actually having to really act differently. It's interesting though, and it keeps things fresh."

But when he arrives, there's no sign of Chris and the receptionist knows nothing of his appointment. Will alarm bells start ringing for Lloyd? At the same time, Cheryl confides in Leanne, who urges her to come clean to Lloyd.
