Coronation Street bags the most nominations for this year's Inside Soap Awards

Inside Soap Awards time again and Corrie have scored the most nominations with 16. Eastenders has 13, Hollyoaks 12 and Emmerdale just 7.

It seems that Corrie has done so well because they have two nominations in many of the categories. There is Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald) and Malcolm Hebden (Norris Cole) up for Funniest Male, Katy Cavanagh (Julie Carp) and Patti Clare (Mary Taylor) for Funniest Female, Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow) and Paula Lane (Kylie Platt) for Best Bitch.

Also in the frame are Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow) for Best Actor, Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) for Best Actress, Alex Bain (Simon Barlow) for Best Young Actor, Natalie Gumede (Kirsty Soames) for Best Newcomer, Chris Gascoyne again (Peter Barlow, again) for Best Bad Boy, Chris Fountain (Tommy Duckworth) for Sexiest Male, Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) for Sexiest Female and Best-Dressed Soap Star and, of course the soap in general as Best Soap.
