Here's the picture that shows Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley moments before she set her hair extensions on fire while blowing out the candles on her birthday cake.
Catherine, who plays Eva Price, was celebrating her 29th birthday with fellow Corrie actors when her hair extensions got a bit too close to the flames. Apparently Antony Cotton reacted quickest and smothered the flaming locks.
The picture was posted on Antony's Twitter stream, with the comment "This is the moment just before the weave went up. Not making it up, the weave was on actual fire. I put it out!" Catherine later tweeted: "Can't believe my hair caught fire on my birthday cake. God damn you hairspray! Tonight Antony Cotton saved my life. Now my hair smells. Bad."
Catherine and pals including Debbie Rush (Anna Windass), Ben Price (Nick Tilsley), John Michie (Karl Munro) and Paula Lane (Kylie Platt) were celebrating her birthday at Manchester's Restaurant Bar and Grill when the incident happened.
