Coronation Street scores biggest audience for a year with Becky exit

Last night's Corrie saw 11.5 million viewers tune in to see Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly) ruin the marriage of ex Steve (Simon Gregson and love-rival Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) before jetting off for a new life in the Caribbean.

The figure is almost twice the average amount of viewers for the time slot (normally it's around 6.6m) and it's the show's highest viewing figures since Valentine's Day 2011 when Leanne married Peter Barlow.
