Dead body on Coronation Street this summer

There will be a dead body on the Street this summer, says new Corrie producer Phil Collinson. "It's going to be a death which is going to affect a couple of our significant characters," he told The Weatherfield Gazette.

Phil Collinson, nicknmaed Cull-inson for the actors that he has axed from the soap since his arrival, said he was excited about producing Corrie in its 50th year.

"We have huge plans so that it really feels Corrie is 50 years young." And viewers can expect a "more cinematic" and "slightly pacier" feel with the move to HD.
