Ex-Coronation Street stars Rupert Hill and Jenny Platt have baby Matilda

Congratulations to Jenny Platt and Rupert Hill who played Violet Wilson and Jamie Baldwin in Coronation Street (pictured here with onscreen son Dylan). They've just become parents to a baby girl in real life.

Matilda was born on Sunday, two weeks late, weighing 7lbs 10oz . Rupert Hill tweeted earlier today: "Forgot to say how amazing St Marys Hospitial's maternity ward is. Everyone who helped bring Matilda to us was brilliant & delightful."
