Coronation Street's Rovers Return made out of bread!

rovers return out of bread.jpg Warburton, the bread people and sponsors of Corrie's 50th anniversary have made the Rovers Return out of bread, as you do. The model was unveiled by onscreen couple Jane Danson and Chris Gasgoyne (Leanne Battersby and Peter Barlow) as they loafed around Manchester's Trafford Centre today.

Artist Lennie Payne - who has been working with bread for over ten years - explained: "This is the biggest project I've ever undertaken and it's been great fun! The work has been extremely intricate - I've even toasted each slice of bread to just the right colour to imitate those infamous red bricks of the Rover's Return!"

Whatever next? The Kabin made out of crisps or the factory made out of matchsticks maybe.
