Corrie's Kym Marsh phones This Morning to adopt a dog

Dog lover Kym Marsh, who plays Coronation Street's Michelle Connor, phoned This Morning this morning to offer a home to an abandoned dog, reports Now Magazine.

Apparently within minutes of seeing a three-month-old retriever-cross puppy called Oliver, Coronation Street star Kym, 33, rang in to try to adopt him. "We can't obviously just give Olly away, even to Kym, but we are putting her in touch with the RSPCA and they can hopefully sort it out between the two of them," said host Phillip Schofield.

A spokeswoman told the Daily Record: "Kym was obviously moved by what she had seen. We are delighted to have been able to help the dogs get a home."
