Corrieblog's Top 50 Current Characters

Thumbnail image for Corrie2.jpgThought we'd try something new here at Corrieblog, to get us all discussing and sharing our thoughts and opinions on all of the characters from the show.

I know a similar thing has been done in the past on Corrieblog, but thought I'd run something a bit different to get our views flowing once more. So from tomorrow I'll be running down Corrieblog's Top 50 current characters, bringing you a new Corrie resident each day to discuss, praise or pulverise.

The list has been compiled by me, so there will no doubt be some debate as to the positioning of characters on the list, but I'd like to consider this as more of an opportunity to merely spark some discussion on them.

Looking forward to hearing all of your thoughts!

Absolute farce this soap has become. We know with everyone in the street's story what will happen because the scriptwriters have just dried up and are using the melodramas that the early Australian soaps used to use when they were pretty naive about it. Weekly we've had to sit and watch Jo constantly grimacing, begging and behaiving like a wuss and it has just gone on endlessly and now that is also a farce and didn't we know it was going that way. Once again the jokers of the pack have a bad wedding day. The same dramas appear in each soap where there is a joker in the pack and we know what's coming. Emmerdale and Coronation Street have too many idiotic characters to take the programmes seriously now. If they want best soap awards they'll never get them whilst these bland and utterly stupid dramas keep rolling out with these pathetic characterisations never seen in real life or any good drama.

Corrieblog doesn't exist anymore as the company who run it (Shiny Media) - and never forget this is a commercial site and not a fan site - has gone bust.

If there's anybody intrested, I have decided to set up a new corrie blog at blogger.com, I know you have to sign in via google, but I will be starting up in a week or so, its called 'Corrie's Place!' there's heaps of stuff coming up for it, and NO disrepect to corrie blog, I'm sure it will be up and running at some point, but for now if your intrested, visit blogger and leave a comment, so I know yea can find the page, there's only 2 posts up as a trial run, it offically opens on Saturday, 27th of August! or leave a comment here to let me know what yea think!
Lots of thanks, Chris.

How sad to see what happened to this blog. I find it rather ironic Shiny are now bust after how awfully they treated all the users during the comment issue farce back in the Spring under Sue Haasler's brilliant editing of the blog.

Finally i have to say Tvor i expected a lot more from you. How rude and petulant your comment on this posting was. The lad Craig did say it had been done before so that immature comment was simply down right rude. I expected a lot more from the self titled 'voice of reason'.

In the top 50 you have to include some of the decent men, which seem to be in short supply at the moment.

Liam, of course; the actor who plays John Stape and one of the characters that i was disappointed not to see more of was Michelle's band mate "JD".

I think, despite some poor writing initially, his character seemed to have some potential. I think he looked to be a half-decent actor too! Maybe that's why they got rid!

Loved the scene in the courtyard with Steve- they worked well together!

Roy- What a great character and OMG! nice to see him creeping out Tony!

One other top 50 recent, the detective that was bugging Becky!
