Poppy (Sophiya Haque) and Mary (Patti Clare) will be leaving Coronation Street soon after the characters "failed to make an impact," according to reports. The same report also says that Paula Carp (Sharon Duce) will be leaving, but she was never intended to be a permanent characteranyway and was just part of the storyline about Colin. ITV have denied that the characters are leaving due to cost cuts.
