Leonard Swindley is alive and on DVD

Some of you who have been watching Coronation Street from the start may remember that there was a spinoff series, called Pardon the Expression, featuring the character of Leonard Swindley, the erstwhile co-manager (along with Miss Nugent) of Gamma Garments and moral monitor of the Glad Tidings Mission. Leonard was played by the wonderful Arthur Lowe. Spotted over on our sister site, TVScoop, reporter mofgrimmers has posted about a new DVD set of the spinoff series. It's a 2-DVD set and should be released on May 4. Mof tells you all about it so I won't repeat it here (but I *have* nicked his photo of the DVD cover!). I'll be in the U.K. in May. I may have to check this out!
