Here's the summary for tonight's Coronation Street, both episodes from the pen of Jayne Hollinson: Lisa reappears in Dev's life and discovers Dev's girlfriend is Tara, whom she knows. Dev is afraid Lisa will spill the beans so he shadows them all day but it's Poppy who does the deed because she thinks Dev is playing games with both women. Tara keeps the information to herself, but later, confronts Lisa but Dev still doesn't know she knows. He doesn't admit it on his own either, when Tara gives him the opportunity and if she's as much like her mother as I think, she's going to make Dev suffer and make him pay, big time!
Ken is sucking up to Deirdre, making breakfast, tea and letting her watch what she wants on telly! Meanwhile, Peter's sarcasm knows no bounds but Ted, at least, is unjudgemental but then he's not as emotionally involved. He whines to everyone that he's trying to save his marraige (but only because Martha rejected him!) There's another wrinkle in the fabric of the Barlow family, too. Tracy wants to see Amy! Will wonders never cease?! Ken doesn't think Amy should be told about her mother but Blanche does and so does Peter who thinks Amy should be treated honestly. (I thought she was told her mummy was in jail for doing something very naughty but not told what. I guess she's conveniently forgotten for the sake of the storyline!)
Amber wants to move in with Darryl and Teresa but Dev says no way. Teresa barges her way into a job in the kebab shop, ruffles Minnie's feathers, then notices Eddie. Well you remember Teresa gave Anna a hard time the other day in the cafe, and she hollers at Eddie tonight. She feels they were to blame for her losing her comfy home. Well, after all, she can't rip lumps out of Jerry because he's far away! She uses him to get her stuff carted and fobs him of with 10p while nicking a tenner from the till. Not much has changed, then.
Jack recovers one of his missing pigeons, his favourite. A woman named Connie has found her and returned her and they find they both share a love of the birds. They've got something else in common, too, both having lost their partners recently.
Tony continues to interfere in Ladrags business and gets tired of Tom's whining (as am I!). Tom's got a crush on Maria and Tony tells him that she knows, which she doesn't but Tom believes Tony (why?) and is mortified because Tony says Maria isn't interested. He takes his revenge by telling Luke that Tony's having him followed. Something tells me Luke isn't going to waste time whining about it but he *is* a bit paranoid watching everyone on the street. What's he going to do?
It looks like Joe may be getting addicted to the painkillers, which I figured would happen. He is snappy with Gail but very mellow after a few more happy pills. Betty gets on Poppy's nerves with her socializing and endless breaks. Claire is in danger of turning into a pushy sports mummy but she's the one that kicks the football through Blanche's window!
