Peter Barlow's birthday, and he took a moment to think about his twin sister Susan. He told Simon that Susan is in heaven with Simon's mummy. Peter was in a thoughtful mood generally, and when he went to have his hair cut he confided in Audrey that he was worried that his behaviour has had a bad effect on Ken, who has been behaving strangely. Audrey told him that it wasn't his fault, and told him that Ken has been having an affair. Peter said this was typical of his dad who "never settles for what he's got even if it is actually more than he deserves." Later on, Peter tackled Ken about his affair. Ken insisted that "nothing happened" with Martha, but that she was his soul mate.

Tom was jealous of the amount of time Maria spent with Tony, and complained to Luke, who told Maria to talk to Tom. Meanwhile Luke is still being investigated by a detective hired by Tony. Tony doesn't trust Luke. Tom doesn't trust Tony. Maria trusts Tony but not Luke, and is getting fed up with Tom. Confused? It's a quadrangle of mistrust, let's leave it at that for now.

No-one much trusts Teresa Morton, but when she made a bed out of the Maxine Peacock Memorial Bench and some bits of cardboard, even Dev had to feel sorry for her. He also spotted an opportunity to get Darryl out of Victoria Court - he said that Teresa could stay in the shop flat, provided that Darryl moves in with her.

No-one (apart from Gail) trusts David Platt either. Joe definitely doesn't, and doesn't believe his apparent new friendly attitude to Gary Windass.

And Jack was upset because three of his pigeons had failed to come home.
