David-Gail224.jpgGail Platt's biggest fan, Chris H, wasn't happy about recent comments from Kathy R, who described Gail as "pathetic and idiotic": "I think she was very rude," he says. But he's also been noticing a possible brewing romance: "the rumor a few months back about Kevin and Molly - there's signs or hints that could be true - in scenes they're in lately they seem to be getting along greatly." I've noticed that, too. Could the unthinkable be about to be thinkable?

Meanwhile, Mags is getting annoyed at the way no-one can keep their mouths shut. "I agree with Old Ena, I too am getting annoyed at the mindless way that they are opening their mouths and blurting out. OK , may be you can understand Audrey having a go at Ken and trying to get him back on the right tracks but as for Poppy...

I think she was really out of order, what a bitch, she isn't even a good friend of Tara's. I don't like Poppy anyway, I don't think the character is going anywhere get rid of her I say. And as for Maria blurting out to Tom about the PI what a stupid thing to do but I think Maria isn't the brightest spark anyway."

Meanwhile, Old Ena herself has some comments about Teresa Morton: "On Theresa Morton's return: I think that Karen Henthorn who plays Teresa is a good actress, and talent that is much needed on the Street. However, typically, the scriptwriters have taken the character to an extreme - instead of making her a bit mischievous but likeable, they have portrayed her as obnoxious, an unpleasant scrounging nuisance and are ruining her MO. They just don't seem to be able to attain a happy medium. What Coronation Street needs is strong characters who entertain through their wit and emotion. Today's scriptwriters seem to believe that we simply have an appetite for bad behaviour - I think they under-estimate their audience."

Our poll yesterday putting Luke Strong up against Tony Gordon seems to be coming out in favour of Tony, and Dilly Daydream will be pleased about that. She says, "I don't like Luke Strong at all - there's nothing remotely attractive about smugness. I sincerely hope Tony kicks him into touch."
