On Friday's episode: "I am so glad now that their is a real family unit around Dev. The Alahans have established themselves as a strong family unit now and as much as Tara is a spoilt brat I like her. Because she is spoilt she gets what she wants and she knows how to get it. When she doesn't, her perspective on life is shattered just like that of a 10 year old child. I am glad Poppy told her because it shows a sign of trust in her growing friendship with Tara and is also developing her on screen character. I am glad she is being brought into the show more and I really look forward to seeing her character evolve and us as a viewer discovering more about her. I like her. Back to Tara and I can't see her ever being happy long term with Dev. She jumps in quickly and is in a need to be in a relationship. As a result she places trust in someone easily and it is no surprise that this is shattered in an instant. Though in this case she has a right to be devastated! Dev should have known better but we know that a leopard never changes its spots." [Peter]
"I really enjoyed Friday's episode, mainly because of the comedy - firstly Dev rushing around like a headless chicken making sure Tara doesn't find out about his fling. Then we have Teresa and Umed - the slap was hilarious and so unexpected, laughed out loud! Then we have Ashley and Claire...
with the football through the window - it just proves they're great with comedy and should have more comedy and drama storylines. I also liked Connie and Jack, even though he'll never be the same without his Vee, they seemed to work together and were a slightly old fashioned pair - its good to see. Then we have the Barlows. I think they've worked brilliantly over the past few months, and look forward to what's next for them." [Chris H]
Gail Platt has her fans, but this isn't one of them: "I'm getting so sick of Gail Platt! After all the mayhem and hurt that David has caused, she has the gall to give Joe a dirty look when he says that no one ever knows what's in David's mind. She still defends that monster of a son, even after he left her for dead after pushing her down the stairs. And WHEN will she stop fighting with Audrey every time Audrey says anything critical about David or Joe? Hasn't she learned by now that Audrey is always right when it comes to Gail and her relationships and David? Instead of kicking Audrey out every time the woman opens her mouth, she should be hanging on her every word and thanking her for her insights. I cringe every time Gail is on the scene. The woman is more annoying than her evil son. David may be lots of things, but he's not stupid. Gail is pathetic and idiotic." [Kathy R]
Whereas Luke Strong already has me and Tvor fighting over him, and now Babe wants a piece as well. "I adore the character Luke Strong already and did so more or less form day one. He is everything rolled into one, charming, cheeky, handsome, rough around the edges complete with that ruffled just out of bed look, smooth baby faced with a hint of sexy stubble, ruthless-ish, gentle and caring, doesn't take any nonsense.. in other words the perfect guy, a nice guy who is very macho but is rough around the edges and not a goody goody and who won't take any nonsense either! I too really hope that the character Luke stays in Corrie for a very long time to come and think that Luke/Tony (Craig/Gray) work extremely well together. Tony really has met his match in Luke, only I don't think he quite realises it yet. Looking forward to this character's history unfolding and getting to know Luke Strong. I think a lot of this will happen when Carla re-appears and am sure that these two do have a history together, one of a very intimate nature." [Babe]
