Old Ena has been noticing some strange friendship combinations in Wednesday's episode. "Can anyone keep their mouth shut in Weatherfield? Firstly we have that very contrived 'haircut' with Peter Barlow. Would he really go to a salon like Audrey's? And why on earth is she taking it upon herself to tell on Ken, she doesn't have any relationship with Deirdre that I have seen, and has hardly led a blameless life herself. Then Maria blurted out to Luke's 'friend' Tom (Eh? when did they suddenly become best buddies?) that Tony was having him investigated - dah! Then we have Poppy telling her 'friend' (another friend, who she hardly knows), Tara , about Dev and Accounts Lady. A prerequisite of a barmaid is to be discreet; she hasn't been there five minutes. I hope Liz fires her."

Meanwhile, Chris H was pleased to hear about Betty. "I'm thrilled that Betty is getting a storyline in Corrie, even though it might be small, it would be nice if the writers gave her a bit of the drama, she's a Corrie legend, and not just for her hot pot!"
