Yay or nay: do you have any sympathy for Ken Barlow?

Last week's yay or nay was cut off in its prime a bit by the technical difficulties we were having. Only six people managed to get a reply in before everything went pear-shaped, but those who did were split as to whether cousin Tom deserves a bigger storyline.

This week we're asking: do you have any sympathy for Ken Barlow? I don't mean do you have any sympathy for William Roache, because of course we all do. But the character he plays is currently enjoying cosy floating liaisons with the beautiful Martha Fraser, while the long-suffering Deirdre copes with the ironing, Blanche and looking after Ken's son and grandson. Or maybe you think Deirdre is such an old nag that poor Ken deserves a bit of happiness elsewhere? Or maybe you think that Deirdre is only bitter and twisted because Ken is so horrible to her? It's not simple.
