Last week we asked, will you miss Carla? Out of 37 comments received so far, a whopping 70% of you said you would miss Carla while Alison is on her maternity leave: "She always lights up the screen when she's on," said Tricia.
This week, poor Tina McIntyre is faced with a dilemma. She knows that David swung the first punch at Gary Windass, but David has asked her to back him in saying that Gary started the fight. If she does this, there's a good chance Gary will be sent to prison. Although we know that technically David started it, we also know that Gary deliberately set out to make David start it - which means that, morally at least, Gary started it. Doesn't it?

Nay although Tina has been good for David in a lot of ways, and he has grown up a little bit, he's still not very mature and his jealousy and vindictiveness is dragging her down. He can't resepect her if he makes her lie for him in court and he's made her lie for him before, when he pushed Gail down the stairs.
Yay, I think Tina should stand by David. Gary Windass deserves to go to prison. He is just an annoying ugly little prick. David may have thrown the first punch but we all know that Gary pushed him to the limit. If Tina doesn't stand by her man she will not only be letting David down but also her dad and Gail. Does she fancy Gary deep down I wonder? Because her behaviour is not that of a loyal girlfriend or daughter.
You're right Sue, morally Gary did start the fight, intentionally, so I think Tina should stick with her original story, not so much to stand by David but so that Gary gets punished for being such an obnoxious twat.
Mags is spot on - of course Tina should stick by supporting her boyfriend on this occasion, but she should make it clear this is the very last time she ever does. The thing providing the tension in this storyline is the not-credible-at-all softening of Tina's attitude to the attentions of the loathsome Garreh. Because it's not credible, it makes the entire plotline incredible, I'm afraid.
Not too sure about this one, I love Tina's character and yes, maybe she is just standing by the person she loves, even if it is wrong, think what would you do in the situation? And David was sticking up for her and just lost it after weeks of remarks and Jibes, no its yes/no for me.
Nay! If Tina doesn't break away from David now, she could well find herself in the same position as Anna Windass and Janice Battersby (when she was with Les) in years to come. David is an annoying idiot who doesn't deserve anything good to happen to him and Tina is waaaaay too good for him.
And just to stick the boot in (because I'm nice like that), she should leave him and have a fling with Gary right under David's nose!
I cannot believe Tina ,who was enthusiastically joining in smashing up and setting fire to the Windbag’s kitchen, is now having a big attack of conscience over telling a tiny fib to the police to protect her boyfriend. Yes, technically David threw the first punch but it was under severe provocation. All the stealing of the tools, the copper piping etc and now she seems destined to end up in Weasel Faced Gary’s bed!
YAY she should stick by her man. Gail has also been particularly good to her giving her and her father board and lodging and she doesn’t really give much back.
Nay, Tina should tell the truth for her own selfrespect. She felt so guilty the first time she lied for David it should have taught her a lesson. Saying she won't do it again after doing it twice doesn't cut it. By now she should know the Platts are liers and manipulators, she would be well rid of them.
David is a control freak. For all the bad points about Gary Windass at least he can see David for what he is, he called him someone who takes control last week and he's right. Tina doesn't realise how David is manipulating her and if she goes ahead and lies for him again after all he's put her through, she will end up being a victim of his for years to come.
Gary deserves to go down. And Tina is being compromised, bring back the feisty Tina.
