This week, as the awards season gets into its stride with voting open in both the British Soap Awards and the All About Soap Bubble Awards, I'm wondering who out there actually votes for them. I have to admit I happily go through the online voting procedures ticking the boxes, but if I end up on a page where I have to enter loads of personal information in order to get my votes to register, I will often click away and do something else instead. I know, I only have myself to blame when That London-Based Soap carries off the prizes.

Yay i usually do, though avoid the personal information stuff or give them false info/email to avoid spam in my inbox.
Yay, I always vote in soap awards, and always for Coronation Street & its cast, since it's the only soap I watch.
Doesn't seem to do much good though, particularly in the last few years.
I always vote in the awards even though I only really started last year or the yesr before, But I think personally that you shoild as a thank you or reconision to the stars for doing a great job and giving us top viewing, but I would argue that more of the older stars should also be nominated.
I think there's better topics, but it is a nay for me. Never do. If one Corrie fan doesnt vote what difference does it make? I'm sure most here at Corrieblog do and that might be a fiar amount =]
Hi there, just discovered this blog, great site you have here! Been a big Corrie fan for many years now, and I've found the show in the past year to have been better than ever.
As for the soap awards, I have to agree with Sue - I always try to vote for Coronation Street and its cast in such awards, but if you have to fill out lots of details about yourself I usually don't bother to complete them. Thankfully this one only needs your email address.
yes....and corrie gets my vote. The best actors are most certainly in this soap!

Yay, always do. I just think it's fair to give something back to the actors/actresses that entertain us weekly. I'm hoping that Ali King wins best actress this year, she's been outstanding.
