It looks like my next Corrie wedding hat will have to have a small compartment in it to conceal a file and a supply of "snout." Isn't that what you're traditionally supposed to take into prisons? The Sun reckons that the radiant Fiz Brown is going to marry John Stape - and that the wedding will take place in prison. They say she proposes to him to "cheer him up" because he's being bullied by the other inmates (wouldn't a bar of chocolate have been enough?). The former letcherous lecturer/kidnapping cabbie wants to get married straight away - before she can come to her senses, presumably - and Julie persuades Fiz that it'll be "romantic."
Oh, Fiz Brown, we had such high hopes for you.
Well I for one am glad. He always seemed like a nice guy to me, and obviously loves Fiz. OK, like many men he was too weak to resist the advances of temptress Rosie, who lets not forget positively threw herself at him, and as for the kidnap - well that was so utterly unbelievable as a storyline, that it's hard to factor that in, but overall I think John and Fiz would make a great couple. Now of course being a soap, I somehow doubt they'll live happily ever after, but you never know...
Fiz could never ever trust him again and Chesney would never trust her either. Yeah, that's also going to look great to Social Services who must still check up on Ches now and then. I think they're ruining her if they let her go through with this.
I thought John and Fiz were a very good couple, I was sorry he went so far off the rails. I'm not sure how to feel about a marriage. It makes Fiz look kind of pathetic, but it's a different type of story, and does feel true to the characters, which I can't say for some other stories at the moment.
I think they shouldn;t have bought John back that was a mistake, he's 'exit' felt like a close to Fiz and the storyline and Fiz is out of character if she marries him, it doesn't fit or feel right, after the kidnap story, John shoul have left for good and Fiz should have went in a new direction or story.
Good for them. There's was nothing wrong with John until Rosie Webster tried it on with him.
I like Stape and hope he stays in Corrie. Love to see another Corrie wedding.
Oh for goodness sake they did exactly the same story in Emmerdale. Why do they keep copying each other.
Why would Julie encourage Fiz? Is she worried that Kirk is still interested in her (Fiz) or is Julie just a born butinsky? We have recently met her in Canada and she seems to have an opinion on everything.
I always thought John & Fiz made a great couple too, until La Webster got involved. It's just a shame Rosie managed to escape from Granny's Turret.
I always liked John Stape until they made him into a weirdo. I will remain forever hopeful that he changes back to a normal person and that he & Fiz live happily ever after.
Would be so good for Dozy Rosie to have her nose rubbed in the fact that John prefers Fiz to her.
