Over half of the people who replied said yay, and even the people who said nay (on the grounds that nasty people always get what they deserve in Corrie) wished there was a way to keep him because we all love Tony.
Today let's talk fashion, and in particular, Carla's wedding dress. It's purple! Rather a departure from tradition there (though I had to wear a purple dress once when I was a bridesmaid, but that's the '70's for you). Please cast your Gok Wan-trained eye over this magnificent creation (the dress, not Alison King herself) and decide if Carla's dress is fabulous or hideous. Erm well i want to like it, because without a doubt Alison does look stunningly beautiful in it, but i think she would in a bin bag so yeah..i like the colour i just think its a bit long.
Yay from me, i like it. Lovely for a second wedding in a hotel. I'd have liked to have seen her hair in an up-do though.
I like the dress, but it is rather dark for a wedding. I think she would look a bit more elegant if her hair was done in an updo
The color, oh you silly American, colour (!) becomes her. The cut, not so much, esp. given her character's usual fashion choices. Then again, there's a certain bump that needs some hiding. Overall, yay.

Yay I like the dress but I agree with the other comments it is a little to long and I would love to see her hair up also. I think the only other color would have been black and I guess that would have been too evil but would have fite the grieving.
Yay from me, it's a beautiful dress. I did find it somewhat over the top as in flowing, but am wondering if it's because Allison is pregnant. None the less she looked stunning.
NAY! Unless this picture doesn't do it justice, I think the dress is Hideous! I wouldn't even wear that as a Bridesmaid. I don't object to the colour purple it's the style combined with the colour. Oh well I guess I have 9+ months to get used to the idea.
Not thrilled with the dress, however it does look nice on her, I found it a bit too low cut and too long for a second wedding. Not thrilled with purple either - just not my favourite colour.

Nay, coulda been a nice bridesmaids dress, but i think a traditional cream or something would have suited her to a key. She's absolutley stunning so she of course pulls it off, but as a wedding dress, i just cant utter a yay.

Over at another Corrie site, whenver a character wears any shade of purple, it forecasts a death or some disaster. The purple colour of doom... think that is what they call it.

I love the colour, but it is too much material and too long, for a wedding dress I still think it is atroscious (sp) and being from old school a bit too revealing

i like the top half but i'm not sure about the bottom half. i suppose it was difficult to find a dress that was 'right' and that would draw attention away from her bump. Alison would probably look gorgous in anything anyway.
