Apparently there's going to be a marriage proposal for Becky on Coronation Street when Jason Grimshaw puts on a naval uniform, like Richard Gere in the 1982 film An Officer and a Gentleman, and carries her out of the cafe into the Street to propose to her. How romantic! If you like that sort of thing.
There's an added complication... Steve McDonald rushes over and begs her to marry him instead (no idea what he's come as - Maverick in Top Gun, anyone?). Who will she choose? Or will she tell them both to shove off?

Although Jason has treated Becky appallingly on several occasions, I think her heart belongs to him. Has never quite gelled for me with Steve.
I agree totally Old Ena. I just can't get the hang of Steve and Becky together at all, whereas Jason and Becky yes-they suit each other. I personally thought Steve and Michelle suited each other too, but the writers obviously have other plans for the pair of them. About time Steve settled down happily I think...(Maybe Karen should return soon...)
I'm the other way Ena - I've always thought that Becky is too old for Jason - she's much better suited to Steve.
I like Becky and Steve when they're having fun together, but I do think her soulmate is Jason. They just had that chemistry from early on. Unfortunately, Ryan Thomas repeatedly using the press to try to get Tina O'Brien back on the show means that even if Becky and Jason got together properly this time, I'd be afraid it would only be a matter of time until Sarah-Louise returned and Becky would be left on the rubbish tip again. I guess whatever happens, at least there's Jason in a white officer's outfit to look forward to.
Agree, Becky was really in love with Jason. Steve is treating Michelle really badly at the moment, and who knows when he gets tired of Becky he might treat her the same. Stay with Jason !

Oooh all sounds saucy! Can't see Steve and Becky together as a couple long term but anything better than Michelle in my book. Jason in a sailor suit though will be worth tuning in for!

The whole reason Becky got with Steve in the first place is because of how badly Jason treated her. If she wants better treatment she may need to find someone besides Steve or Jason.
I think Becky and Steve are great together. I shall be most displeased if Becky ends up with Jason, sweet as his an' all.
But I still think if anyone was going to propose to me, I'd like the engagement ring in the cupcake like Kirkeh proposed to Fizz. Now THAT was romantic! :-)
The wole point of Becky is that she will be treated badly by men in the Bet, Raquel vein. Even if she gets with Steve she will need to be rejected in the end to add to the drama. When she was dumped by Jason after finding the flat to share it gave us one of the most heart-rending performances on the sreet in the past year.
i think becky and syeve work great together i think the comedy between them is fab and it would be great to see the 2 of them together properly and maybe even live happy ever after... not likely in soap land but one can hope ..lol
