Will Tony Gordon kill Maria?

Thumbnail image for 15dec_tony_maria.jpgTony Gordon thought he'd committed the perfect crime when he paid Jimmy Dockerson to bump off Liam. As long as Jimmy stayed loyal, no-one would ever work out that Liam's death wasn't an accident.

Amazing to relate, but he reckoned without the deductive powers of Maria Connor, a woman previously not known for her mental agility. She's going to find out next week that Carla and Liam were having an affair, and that Tony knew about it - and it's not long before she's firmly convinced that Tony is a murderer.

Will this make Maria Tony's next target? Samia Smith told Inside Soap that "the producers have told me they're not going to kill Maria off." So that's alright, then. Or is it? "You never know," Samia says. "If I upset someone, they just might write me out!" She'd best get baking some of her nicest flapjacks for Kim Crowther in that case.

    um 2 lives and not 1? maria get's killed? who cares? do you guys really get emotionally attached to these fictitious soap characters? the writers are just plain awful with outlandish plotlines that are soooooo far out of touch with any sense of reality. Or how about the game that the soaps like to play with keeping a dreary plotline going as long as possible making you think finally it's over and oh nope here it goes for another 3 months......this posting is one from a captive audience (my missus watches the hideous offal served up in soap format daily) so yeah I am thoroughly disgruntled captive soap watcher and a confirmed grumpy old man! Make soaps more interesting for us captive audiences!!!!!!!!!

    I noticed too he didn't mention his mail order company and thought it strange. I guess we're meant to forget about that right now as it doesn't fit the current storyline.

    On a related theme I've been wondering over the last few weeks why Rita took on Tina??

    I'd have thought that as far as Rita is concerned the Kabin is still about to be bought by Tony the last thing she'd have done is employ new staff in a business about to close down.

    I do wish the writers would tie up the loose ends better these days.

    can someone help me? Tony was listing his assets and debts last night and no mention of his other company, the one who buys Underworld's knickers and the one he is planning to merge on the same site as Underworld by buying up the Post Office and garage.

    As Avon pointed out, there's a baby involved as well and i think Tony does have a conscience as far as that goes. I don't think he'd kill Maria while she's pregnant. He seemed genuinely shocked after Liam's death when he found out Maria was pregnant.

    Is Jimmy Dockerson still in the program? Maybe as Maria gets closer to the truth he will threaten Tony that is he goes down he won't be alone. Would like to see Tony worry that Jimmy will do to him what he did to Liam. Hope Maria comes out of this a wiser more empowered woman.
