Coronation Street fan of the week

This week's Coronation Street fan of the week is Lynn Dunwoodie.

How long have you been watching Coronation Street?
I have been watching Corrie for over 40 years, first with my mother, then my daughter and now my granddaughter.

Who's your favourite character?
My favourite character is Eileen, the ever suffering and hopelessly romantic person with the big heart. She lets everyone who needs a home have one at her house.

What's been your Corrie highlight or favourite story?
The best storyline was the death of Mike Baldwin, he was such a beloved rascal.

What would be your Fantasy Coronation Street storyline?
My storyline would be for Liz and Jim to get back together and run the pub together. Jim would fit behind a bar just right with that Irish gift of the gab.

Have you ever visited the Street set, met any of the cast, or do you own any Corrie memorabilia?
I visited Granada Studios in the l990's (can't remember the date). It was when Vera and Jack were going to buy the pub and Sally Webster's kitchen caught on fire. I have a picture of me with Sherrie Hewson (Maureen Holdsworth). We toured the studio and saw Bet Lynch's wedding dress and the interior of the rooms, and my husband sat in the Rover's Return. We even saw the alleys behind the houses. It was all smaller than it looks on TV!
