Katherine Kelly recently hinted that she'd like her character, Becky, to get together with Steve McDonald.
Inside Soap takes up this theme this week, so I'm getting quite optimistic that this will actually happen. "Becky and Steve have an awful lot in common," a mole points out, adding that "Steve loves Michelle but they haven't had much fun together for ages. Maybe Steve will be tempted to stray again."
It was Steve who picked Becky up and dusted her off after her rampage last night, and it'll be Steve she turns to to provide her with an alibi. They already have the huge secret of their one-night stand, and the implications of this are set to play out across the Christmas storylines.

I wouldnt say I had noticed any particular chemistry between Becky and Steve but anyone that kiboshes that self satisfied attitude from Michelle's is OK with me.
I think Katherine Kelly has chemistry with everyone! But having said that, she and steve might have a bit more in common but they still don't have a lot. Steve owns several businesses and is a single dad. Becky is still pretty much a loose cannon. She's got a long way to go before she'd be ready to be a full on partner with Steve and step mom to Amy. I don't mind, though, i love both of the characters and anything that gives them more screen time is ok by me.
I thought it was brilliant acting from Katherine Kelly last night, her excitement about the flat and seeing beyond the sleezy dump it really was, and then the shock of Jason dumping her. I was a bit tearful as she collapsed in Roy's arms at the end.
Becky needs professional help and a serious dose of self-esteem. Steve needs a woman who does not see him as the detritus on her shoe. If they put him with Becky we'd get a variation of what we already have now -- Steve being bullied and cowering in the corner.
