Kevin Webster and Tony Gordon - they like each other really

07_07_kevin-tony.jpgKevin Webster and Tony Gordon are currently locked in a struggle for ownership of the Coronation Street garage, but Michael Le Vell (Kevin) reckons that when it's all over, Tony should be offering Kevin a job. "Kevin and Tony would make good business partners," he told Inside Soap. "Lots of people change careers in midlife, so I reckon Tony should offer Kevin a partnership at Underworld. It's one of those situations that could really work."

I don't know about that - Tony doesn't really seem like the power-sharing sort. But Michael is probably hoping for more scenes with his new bezzie mate Gray O'Brien, who plays Tony. "We hit it off straight away," Michael says. "The only trouble is, I can't understand what he's saying half the time!"

Gray finds it hard when his character has to get nasty with Kevin. "We're really good friends so it's hard to be mean," he says. "Michael and I have a laugh, and doing all these scenes has brought us closer together. Michael's so grounded for someone who's worked on the show for 24 years. We just enjoy each other's company - he's a very nice guy in real life."
