Corrie fans can see Sean Wilson's Buttons this Christmas

sean-wilson-27.jpg The actor who played Martin Platt in Coronation Street for 21 years, Sean Wilson, is appearing in pantomime this coming December.

Sean will be Buttons in Cinderella at the Palace Theatre, Redditch, alongside Emmerdale's Daniel Brocklebank as the Prince, and West End star Beth Humphries as Cinderella. It sounds like a lovely show with the usual mix of glitzy costumes, audience participation and corny jokes as well as "magical pumpkins that turn into coaches and cute little mice who become real ponies."

Sean Wilson has been a busy man since leaving Corrie, including participating in the ice dancing reality show Dancing on Ice. As well as a very sinister turn in Waterloo Road he's guested in several other TV shows. Aside from his acting, he's very involved with a charity called D.C.W.C which builds schools for the poor children in Nepal and he heads a charity trek to Everest Base Camp each year to help fund the building programme. He's also a keen fly fisherman and has represented his country in international competitions!

Cinderella opens at the Palace Theatre, Redditch on Monday 8 December and runs until Sunday 4 January.
