eileen-steve-116.jpgThis week's Coronation Street fan of the week is Louise Tribble from London, Ontario, Canada.

How long have you been watching Coronation Street?
I started watching the Street way back in the 60's, I can remember watching Elsie Tanner getting married and I think it was around Christmas time. I watched until we came to Canada in 1966, found it again when I had my children in the early 80's and have watched ever since. In fact my daughter, who is 27, is hooked on it and she has gotten her husband hooked too.

Who's your favourite character?
My favourite character/characters... well Elsie Tanner for one, Norris, Rita, Betty, Claire and Ashley, and I loved Fred Elliot. But my favourites are Steve and Eileen....now there would be a story line!

What's been your Corrie highlight or favourite story?
I really enjoyed the Richard Hillman story line. I couldn't believe how dumb Gail could be - Richard was shifty from the beginning.

What would be your Fantasy Coronation Street storyline?
I think Steve and Eileen becoming a couple... that would blow the street away.

Have you ever visited the Street set, met any of the cast, or do you own any Corrie memorabilia?
No, never visited. I have some things that my sister has sent out to me.

Please to meet you Louise, I too live in Canada. I think I started watching Corrie around the same time you did. I love the show and wish that we here in Canada could get caught up to the UK.

As much as I think your idea of Steve & Eileen becoming a couple would be hilarious I wouldn't want to see it happen as they are truly good friends. It's their friendship that makes their relationship special, they don't have to pretend around each other and they can spill their hearts to one another.

Never thought I would say this but I miss Karen..lol.

... another FOTW from this side of the pond and Ontario to boot ... what fun! ... pleased to meet you an'all, Louise!
... I, too, have been watching Corrie since the eppies were fifteen minutes in duration and filmed in black & white ... woohoo!
... clearly Louise, Deb and I are of a certain age ... and many of our regular posters and former FOTWs are delightful/insightful young people ... I marvel at times at how small the world seems, especially when it is our beloved Street that is weaving us together and with Corrie's mass multi-generational appeal ... I find myself wondering from time to time about the Corrieblog demographic ... ever consider blogging that question? Inviting those who are comfortable in doing so ... to provide their ages?
