The other day, I found myself hoping that David Platt's cellmate Graeme would pay the Platts a visit once he's served his time for arson and chucking a sausage roll (I think that's what Tina told Gail he'd done but I may be confused). He's only been in a couple of scenes, but I really like his odd sense of humour. On the other hand, you could argue that a village only needs one idiot and we already have Kirk.
But which other bit-part characters would you like to see as regular Coronation Street cast members? There have been other characters who've been around just to serve a particular plot and then disappeared. People like Rosie's school friend Lee, or George and Ivor (Doreen, for that matter, who was semi-permanent but then disappeared). Emily's niece Freda is often mentioned as someone who has occasionally appeared that people would like to see more of, as is Yana Lumb. With Julie Hesmondhalgh returning, perhaps we'll get to see more of Hayley's son, Christian.

I agree that we need to see more of Doreen. Frida would be nice to see around more often. I want to see the return of Boris, Ashley's old assistant. He were daft but enjoyable in his brief moments. Sometimes though, these quirky characters are best enjoyed in small doses. Sometimes they could be too much of a good thing and lose their charm.
How about Patrick from Street Cars re-appearing, I always thought that he and Eileen would make a good couple
I'd like to see Doreen, Freda and Christian become full time while it would be nice to see Lee again mainly because he is a good actor. David's cell mate freaks me out but then I guess that's good writting/acting. And if him coming full times we get rid of Kirk I'm all for it!
I'd like Yana to come back.

I would like to see Doreen Fenwick, Boris Weaver, Wiki from the factory & Freda Nugent all given bigger parts - A past character I would of like to have had bigger and Better storylines was Ida Clough.- maybe she could come back and be Jack Duckworth's new lady friend!!
In Canada we have just met Ivor and Geroge. I was hoping they would be around for a while as they brought out a different side of Norris. Three older batchlors living together could provide some interesting storylines.
I think we should start a 'Bring Back Boris' campaign. Mark Hallett played the part so well. Especially now that Fred is gone, it would be great to see more of Ashley and Boris.
Also, I'd love to see Yana back.
I would love to see more of Fiz. She is an inherently good person, who tries to do the right thing most of the time and often screws up along the way. I find her endearing. And...I miss Danny and Frankie Baldwin.
I would love to see Rita, Emily or Betty get a decent storyline. None of them have done much lately.
I would *LOVE* to see them bring back Mavis for a few weeks. In fact, bring back Martin, Curly and Andy McDonald!

I would like to see a bigger role for Tyrone and Molly and I would also like to see some mention of Ashley's "Mom" - Fred's sister. She is never mentioned at all.
Bring back Charlie West I say, he always made me smile. Charlie was a classic character, there is a guy just like him round the corner from me, in fact there is probably a Charlie West character in every town! I would also like to see Cilla back maybe as Charlies bit on the side.
