What's Julie Goodyear's favourite drink?

Last week we let you know that Corrie's Julie Goodyear was going to be on a celebrity version of the gameshow Mr. and Mrs. I downloaded the show to have a look. I enjoy seeing Coronation Street actors in appearances like gameshows and cooking shows because it lets you see another side of their personalities that you don't always get in a formal interview setting. I'm sure some of them are still "on" for the camera but I do find it interesting. Seeing Julie and Scott interact was, for sure. They didn't come away with the full £30,000 prize but they did quite well. So what is Julie's favourite drink? Well, Scott had it right at first, but then changed it to a "nice cuppa tea". Julie favours Baccardi (rum) and coke! Scott actually gave that answer at first and changed it. Was he not sure of whether they meant all around favourite drink or fave alcoholic drink? She was unsure too when she had to guess but went with the rum.

They have recently quit smoking, apparently but she still misses it. She looked great, though. Older, softer, a little heavier around the face, but her makeup was not over the top, her hair looked flattering and her dress, a purple sparkly number as in this photo, was really pretty. I am always surprised to see how short she is. Bet Lynch always struck me as tall and regal, even without the beehive hair, but I think that's because most of the actors, male and female, on Corrie are not that tall.

Their dynamic was interesting to watch as well. He's 20 years younger than her at least and they've been together 12 years though only married just under a year. They said from the start that she wears the pants in the family and I can well believe it. He's very understated and quiet, defers to her stronger personality all the time and you can well believe she's the more dominant of the two. That business we blogged about earlier, about them dressing up? That is something they do to entertain the grandchildren!
