On Friday's Coronation Street, David Platt starts his new life languishing at Her Majesty's Pleasure. He gets a new cellmate, too. His name isn't Bubba, contrary to what Jack P Shepherd told Fern and Phil. It is, in fact, Graeme, and he's played by actor Craig Gazey.
Craig has appeared in one episode of The Bill, but has mainly worked as a theatre actor since graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2005. He has worked several times with the Royal Shakespeare Company, with roles in Julius Caesar and The Tempest among others. You can see him in action as Trinculo in The Tempest here, a performance which was described as "brilliant" in reviews.
