David Platt's appetite for destruction

As if pushing his mother down the stairs wasn't enough, David Platt is set for more mayhem next month in "some amazing scenes with Jack which see him totally destroying the Street," according to a Corrie "source," adding, "It was great fun filming is and the devastation is bound to cause friction amongst Weatherfield's residents."

Meanwhile, Helen Worth has been talking to Inside Soap about how Gail finally remembers what happened to her on the day she tumbled down the stairs. "It's Tina who jogs Gail's memory," she reveals. "The poor girl is really starting to regret giving David an alibi, as she's finding it increasingly difficult to deal with the guilt of keeping such a secret. So when Gail probes her about what happened... Tina snaps, and everything falls into place for Gail. It's a terrible realisation for her to have."

Helen says that, for Gail, "this could be the final straw that forces her to admit her son needs help." About time, too!
