Look Sharpe, it's Abi!

You may remember this lovely blonde as Mel Morton's friend WPC Abi Sharpe and Dan Mason made a beeline for her after only hours as the new bookie! She's played by Rachael Elizabeth and she might not be just a short term bit player on Coronation Street after all. We saw her in a handful of episodes but she's going to be back at the end of January and will be filming some more scenes in March. It's always possible that this could parlay itself into a longer term role as has happened in the past. Roy Cropper was one such character that was only meant to be in a few episodes and look where it got him! The Liverpool Echo has a great interview with the actress who's new to the business. Even from such a short appearance, she's already being recognized when she goes out and it's thrilling to be part of Corrie history for her. Seems like she's got the talent to go a long way and maybe we'll see a lot more of Abi Sharpe!
