Welcome to Friday where we reveal the answers to our New Year's themed trivia quiz. Were you able to answer the questions without looking it up?

1. On New Year's Eve, looking into 1991, Ken Barlow didn't think he could go on. Who came in and talked him into seeing another day?
Ken Barlow lined up the paracetemol but Bet Gilroy suspected he was in trouble and came to talk to him. He eventually saw the sense in what she was saying and decided not to top himself.

2. Martin Platt spends part of the evening with someone he shouldn't. Who was it?
Martin slipped away from the party to see his lover, Rebecca Hopkins, who was living at the nurses' residence at the time.

3. Fred dressed as someone very regal. Who was it?
Fred Eliott was dressed as King Henry VIII (he might not have had six wives but he probably surpassed that many fiancees!)

4. Jez Quigley wanted Leanne to do what?
Jez wanted Leanne Battersby to leave the pub unlocked so that his boys could rob the place. He pretended he'd call it off but couldn't get hold of the people who were going to do the job. They came at Leanne after the pub closed but she screamed and threw things at them and foiled the robbery.

5. Kevin decided to go out of town and find... who?
Kevin Webster decided to go to Morecamb to find Alison Wakefield and asked her to marry him. She was pregnant with his baby at the time.

6. Curly gets a big surprise. What was it?
Curly got a visit from his ex-wife Raquel who told him that he had a three year old daughter, Alice.
