Once upon a time there was a beautiful young girl named Katy. Katy had a mum called Angela and a dad called Tommy and a little brother named Craig. Katy and her family moved to Coronation Street far away from her friends and Katy was sad about this. Katy even had to get used to a different last name, Nelson. This was because Katy's mum, Angela, had done a good thing and testified in court against some very bad men but then, these bad men burned down their house and were going to hurt them so the police helped them move away and change their name. That's how they came to Number 6, Coronation Street but they didn't know that Number 6 was bad luck.
Eventually, the bad men found Katy's mum and dad and tried to hurt them again but the police saved them all and Katy and her family got to use their own last name, Harris, once again.
Katy could now make new friends and even find a boyfriend. Katy decided she wanted a man called Martin as her boyfriend but Martin wasn't too sure. You see, Martin was 35 and Katy was only 17 and still at school. Soon, though, Katy had her way. Katy was very stubborn and determined, just like her dad, Tommy. Martin and Katy pretended not to be a couple for awhile but secrets don't stay secret very long. When Katy's mum and dad found out, they were very angry. Tommy hit Martin and Angela was very disappointed indeed. Tommy didn't want to know Katy and Angela was stuck in the middle between her husband and her daughter, both of whom she loved very much.
Katy moved in with Martin. When she got pregnant, she thought this was very good. They could be a family but Martin didn't want to be a dad again. He already had a son and two step-children. Katy was very upset and terminated her pregnancy but didn't tell Martin at first. She decided to move home and let her mum and dad tell her they told her so. Martin decided it was ok to be a dad again but was angry when he found out that it was too late. Katy was angry too, but more angry at her dad and shouted at him a lot one night in the garage where her dad worked. Her dad laughed at her and Katy was so angry that she hit her dad with a big, heavy tool. She didn't mean to. Her dad fell down and died and her mum saw this. She made Katy come home.
Tommy's boss, Kevin found dead Tommy in the morning and they thought maybe a bad man broke in and killed Tommy. Angela let people think that at first. She had taken the wrench and cleaned it and hid it in the house and then she hid the wrench in the coffin so it got buried with Tommy. The police thought maybe Martin might have killed Tommy because they had argued and fought a lot because of Katy. Soon, though, Angela decided to tell the police that she did it instead, so that an innocent man would not go to jail. She didn't want Katy to go to jail either. Angela went to jail instead. Angela was a very good mum.
Katy was horrified. She killed her father and now her mother was in jail because she lied to protect Katy. Katy was so filled with guilt that she wrote a letter that confessed everything and then ate lots and lots of sugar. This was a bad thing because Katy had a disease called diabetes and you aren't supposed to eat sweets if you have that disease. It caused her to be very ill and she was taken to the hospital. Angela was allowed to go see her but Katy was too ill to know anyone was there. Katy died and even though the letter told the truth, Angela still had to stay in jail because she lied in court. Little brother Craig was now on his own so his grandad came to stay with him. He visits his mother and he visits the graves of his dad and his sister. Now Craig is living in Berlin so there are no more Harris family members on Coronation Street.
The End.

I miss Craig Harris. Richard Fleeshman was a fantastic actor, and I loved the plotline with him and Rosie. I also had a soft spot for Tommy. But the Martin/Katie plot - ugh! Anything involving Martin and romance was slightly stomach-turning.
Is Angela still in clink? You'd think that maybe someone would mention them now and again - Rosie never mentions Craig and why doesn't she ever visit his mum? All these questions, no proper answers!! Hey Ho!!
I thought the exact same thing about Rosie, she never mentions Craig and was sad for about a week after he left. Richard Fleeshman was such a great actor!

The person who wrote Corrie's Katy Harris: a sad fairy tale, needs to seriously gain some knowledge about diabetes "confessed everything and then ate lots and lots of sugar. This was a bad thing because Katy had a disease called diabetes and you aren't supposed to eat sweets if you have that disease". What a load of rubbish!
kayleigh needs to get a life!!!
