Rosie and Stape rumbled in Christmas Corrie

Part two of the Inside Soap spoiler-thon which started the other day, and today we've got the juicy details of Christmas Day - Webster-style.

Apparently, Stape takes Rosie to a posh hotel for the night, to celebrate her 17th birthday. But, like the love rat he is, he wants to rush back to Fiz the next morning. Helen Flanagan (who plays Rosie) says, "Rosie asks him to take her for a drive on Christmas morning, and manages to extract a promise that he'll definitely end things with Fiz." Stape gives Rosie her Christmas present, but when she tears off the wrapping to be faced by a pair of large-size comfy pyjamas, they realise that Rosie and Fiz have got the wrong gifts...

Meanwhile, Fiz has unwrapped something scanty, sexy and smallish and assumes Stape bought it for Sally! She rushes over to Webster Towers to confront her. "She's convinced that Sally's been playing away with John behind her back," says Helen, "But when Rosie enters with her pyjamas in her hands, the penny drops for everyone."

Yikes! "Kevin's furious and goes for John when he sees him," Helen says. "Sally's really angry and calls Rosie all sorts of names, so Rosie turns around and claims her mum is just jealous because she's old and washed up, while Rosie's young and beautiful."

So no tidings of comfort and joy to be had at 13 Coronation Street this Christmas then.
