In a video interview on ITV.com, Kym Ryder describes the emotional scenes (to be screened tonight) where Michelle and Liam finally get to talk to the man who has been stalking Ryan.
Lloyd, who has taken Ryan to school in his cab, spots the blue Subaru car that's been following Ryan, and follows it back to the owner's house. He radios back to Claire, who lets Michelle and Liam know.
"Michelle just sees red," says Kym, "and she wants to go and deal with it, so the last thing she's thinking about is calling the police. She just wants some answers, really."
As always, Michelle's main priority is to protect Ryan. "She says the police aren't going to do anything unless someone gets hurt, and she'd rather it was her than Ryan."
They go to the man's house, and he invites them in. "She doesn't believe it when the stalker tells her what he believes is the truth," Kym says, "and she goes for him and Liam has to restrain her. She thinks the bloke has a screw loose, but then he starts to go into detail and starts telling her all this stuff, and then she begins to get really frightened and of course thinks its a complete load of rubbish - at least she tells herself that."
What the man tells her is "how he's found out that his son isn't his, and there was only one other kid born that day - and that was Ryan." Michelle is "shaken by it all because he's very believable, but at the same time she's in complete denial, and it it ends with her throwing a bit of a fit at him and storming out, crying."
