Today's Fan of the Week is regular Corrieblog comment contributor Seanie, from Kilkenny in Ireland. He says he's ten years old but if that's true he has a very wise head on his shoulders and of course great taste in TV programmes. He says, "In the years to come if this website is still going I could become editor!" So at least when I retire Corrieblog will be in safe hands!
Here are Seanie's answers to the five questions:
How long have you been watching Coronation Street ?
I’ve been watching with my parents. I remember when Fiz was first seen in 2001.
Who's your favourite character?
My favourite character is Bet Lynch. Her bee-hives and leopard skin makes her the best Corrie character. She should have been at number 1 in the Corrie countdown! My favourite current character is Sean Tully but I don’t like him half as much as Bet Lynch. She was the best character in the street.
What’s been your Corrie highlight or favourite story?
My favourite highlight would have been in 1980 when Bet Lynch wore Annie Walker’s dress back to front! Although I never saw that full episode… My favourite Corrie storyline would be when Suzie Burchill got her foot stuck through Hilda Ogden’s roof. It was classic. I haven’t seen many episodes, only ones that are recent.
What would be your Fantasy Coronation Street storyline?
Mine would be if Bet Lynch arrived back on the street for good. I would like her to be a barmaid again. Or Hilda Ogden came back for a Christmas Special. That would be great.
Have you ever visited the Street set, met any of the cast, or do you own any Corrie memorabilia?
I have lots of memorabilia, and I’m getting Coronation street box sets for Christmas.

Thanks for saying I'm wise!I am ten and I absoloutley love Corrie. I'm I'm allowed to be on Fan Of The Week again I will post a picture of myself. By the way, Sue I thought that I was to be on Fan Of The Week on Dec 6th, but this is better!
it seems that not only are corrie fans 'the nicest people' as another poster commented, but they are the 'wisest' as well!
with such interest seanie, you could be editor of the website, or better yet, be connected with the show itself someday...of course it will still be running!
Let's hope so, Shayna! Maybe you could be a part of Corrie someday too... as Sue said, "you never know what's going to happen on Corrie!"
don't think i haven't thought about that over the years, seanie...
perhaps there could be a part for me as an extended family member from canada...at least i wouldn't have to work at the accent! ;-)
I know who you could be, you know Gail Platts brother, Stephen Reid, who returns the 10th of December, you could be his Candian wife! He lives in Canada at the moment!
now there's an idea seanie as there aren't many parts for canadians on the street...
let us know, okay seanie, if stephen has a bit more of an interesting life this visit than he did last time...
I think back in 1997 (where he made his last visit) he tried to kiss Alma, Audrey's best friend!(I wasn't watching Corrie back then. By the way, I will let you know how he get's on!
