While watching a dvd of Coronation Street clips recently, I watched a segment on some of the deaths on screen over the years. Some of them never fail to bring a lump to my throat and it inspired me to post this poll. Which Corrie death has moved you the most? These choices were the ones that affected me and I wondered if any of them were your most memorable? Do comment and explain or tell us your choice if it's not on this list.

The funeral that choked me up the most was that of baby Billy Platt with Todd banded from attending but the Grinshaws turning up at the end for their good-byes. Think it was shown over two days in Canada (probable a double episode originally) and remember crying during both shows.
Ah yes, it's horrible when children die. I didn't include any in the poll because everyone knows they're the most difficult.
I'm an emotional person that I cry at all of the Corrie funerals. Those were all sad, but the worst one for me was Alma's. My aunt had died of cancer just before this storyline started. A few of my relatives in the UK had to stop watching Corrie till the Alma story ended.
Although I did not see all those storylines (Canadian here) Almas really broke me up.
oh and ps though not choked up I was very sad to see Richard Hillman die. I was glued to the set while his character was on and thought he played the best evil doer ever!!!!! Wished he could have lasted just a bit longer.....but of course getting his just deserts in the end naturally!
The saddest one was watching Hilda sitting at the table holding Stan's glasses. Very sad.
The death of Charlie Stubbs is due to air here in Canada this Monday, but I won't be shedding any tears as I don't like him at all.
Pauline
It was poor old Fred for me, and even now the show isn't the same without him.
Deborah, my dad was dying of cancer when Ray Langton returned and was dying of it. It's the only time i ever felt sympathy for Tracy Barlow.
