How Harvey's got the ducks to fly and the buddha to wobble

buddhaS.jpg I love the new sponsorship ads for Harvey's. In keeping with the slogan "bringing your home to life," we see various items in a cosy living room coming to life and getting ready to watch Coronation Street.

There are ornamental flying ducks (like the ones that used to fly across Hilda's "muriel"), a bronze buddha like the one in this picture, only cuddlier, and an Action Man-type figure. The human family in the scene are oblivious to what's going on.

You can have a look at the ad on Harvey's website, and also watch video of how the characters were brought to life using a combination of puppetry and computer animation. I love the way the buddha's tummy wobbles when he sits down!

While you're at the Harvey's site, have a go at the Corrie pub quiz, and there's still a chance to win a VIP night out at the National Television Awards!

Are the little budhas available to buy? My husband's birthday is coming up and he would love one.

These adverts are much better than the previous Cadbury ones, they were just so annoying.

I really like it - that buddha makes me smile. It looks like they have some more lined up ready to air later on.
