Episode written by Simon Crowther.
If Simon Crowther continues writing episodes like this, I may just have a new favourite Corrie writer - it was brilliant, with some of the funniest lines I've heard on Corrie for ages.
Bill Webster proves that he should really be working for CSI: Weatherfield, when he works out that the scaffolding bolts had been deliberately loosened, and the culprit must be David. Jason (who apparently almost prefers cloudy lemonade to beer) tells Gail about David previously saying that he wanted his family dead: "He was pointing his gun finger at Gail!" Meanwhile Sarah gets bad news from abroad when Candice rings her to say she won't be coming to the wedding because she has a new job selling speedboats.
Rosie Webster hands in her notice at t'factory, because she's going back to school. Mr Stape ought to be quaking in his boots, but he doesn't seem to want to cool off the relationship just yet. In fact a visit to the Websters' is just another occasion for an illicit snog, almost disturbed by Sally. Oblivious to the fact that her teacher is currently wiping her daughter's lipstick from his mouth, Sally is in full Eng Lit mode. "Isn't Keats a treat?" she trills. Stapester replies, "He's more than a treat - he's a gift."
It's the 20 week scan for Violet's baby, and of course Marcus is doing the honours as he's the only sonographer in town. Violet doesn't want to know the gender of the baby in advance, but the ever-impetuous Sean does. Marcus is bound by confidentiality rules and tells Sean that he can't tell him. Will Sean let it lie, though?
Ivor and George think that Norris is romantically interested in Doreen. George describes the way he looks at her as "a gaze of erotic longing disguised with a mask of contempt." Doreen adds fuel to any erotic longing by regaling them all with a tale of how she was once caught naked on a cruise ship, an incident which led to her being invited to dine at the Captain's table: "He said he was transfixed with my creaminess," she tells them.
Roy is missing Hayley terribly. Becky cheers him up by saying she'll soon be back, "Her big daft smile and her sensible shoes... and her bags... and that." Liam also tries to cheer Roy up, but his efforts at describing the romantic reunion end in embarrassment and bewilderment for Roy!
And Lloyd has arranged for Eileen to babysit the little Kebab children on Friday so he and Jodie can finally go out together.
So... Will Lloyd and Jodie finally get some quality time together? How will Gail react to the news that David was pointing his gun finger at her? And is Norris another one who's transfixed by Doreen's creaminess?

I was reading on Digital spy lot people moaning about Liam and roy scene together saying was weird and that liam should talking to roy like that. I think it was really funny especially when roy walk away. Obiviously lot of corrie viewers have got sense humour. Also dont you think it was funny that apart from roy, the only 2 people who care about hayley going was becky and Liam.
DO u think Liam and Becky are Male and Female Version of each other. They are both funny. They both make storys up. They both really care about hayley. you name any other guy apart from roy who cars for hayley, dont say christian because he could not be bothered if hayley was alright or not. i think they are two half same coin. i think they got lot in common even if they are odd couple.
Yes Gail... the definition of good old adolescence is threatening to murder your entire family.
That Liam/Roy scene was funny, the thought of Roy as a hellraiser while Haley is away made me chuckle
Awe>Awww
Poor Roy he looks lost without Hales. I loved it when Roy was reading up on Africa to remind him of Haley, it filled Ol Roy with a sense of awe he said. Beckys reply was a doe eyed awww. What a warm and fuzzy moment
