    yay

I reckon that Claire will forgive Ashley, but he will have moved onto another woman by then.

They could have an episode where Claire invites Ashley round for tea to say that she wants to get back together again, but then Ashley says that he is seeing someone else!

It would serve Claire right: she brought Casey into Ashley' life and it was not Ashley's fault. She has also been a terrible/annoying wife- I would have left her ages ago!

  • The Donnamyster

I say YAY. They can become the nice couple down the block with two normal kids. Then they could have more interaction in the butchers like they do in the cabin. People coming and going and gossiping and hanging around.

  • Katie

Like I said in a previous post, I think that Claire will forgive Ashley but nine months from now there will be a knock on the door and there will be Casey and a little bundle of joy.

  • Deborah

YAY, I'm another one that agrees with Glenn. Have Claire forgive Ashley and put an end to this terrible and long storyline.

  • YAY, Casey messed with Ashley's mind.

  • lisatheiconoclast

I so agree with Glenn's comment!

But, to be fair, it was Clurr who brought Casey into the picture in the first place!

  • Glenn

    Ah...

    Poor Ashley!

I think he`s sweet, can be witty and was manipulated to bits by Log/HeadCasey.

    I`d forgive him.

A good kick in the bits would be fair tho...

  • Karen Lee

Claire, don't forgive him until his voice changes...:-)

Though it didn't take much for Ashley to hop into the sack with Casey, I think Claire would drive anyone over the edge....a little bit of a goody-two shoes with sanctimonious overtones. Bring back the actress who played Maxime, as her long lost twin.

  • Jayne

No, they make a dreary couple. Ashley needs a normal woman not prone to psychotic episodes! Maybe they will flourish better as singletons! ?

  • Andy

Nay, make him suffer for not believing Claire the whole time, and having an affair..

But I don't care about this storyline anymore.

  • Paul

I think both characters have come to the end of the road, and even more so since Fred's death. Our Clurr is bound to forgive Ashley so we will have to endure yet more of this never ending extremely tedious storyline with them. When is it going to end...............

  • Answer: not until she's made him suffer.

  • M Robinson

    Agree with all of above!

Should Clurr forgive Squeaky? Well he didnt take much persuading to shag the nutter did he? It was all rather unbelievable and as KC didnt throw herself off the tower block, is the door open for her "return"?

  • mark

I actually dont care anymore! I have found this storyline boring and repetitive and as Sue has said above it just shows Steven Arnolds poor acting. Julia Haworth acts him off the screen with every scene they do together, I would say dont forgive, split them up and give Julia Haworth some good storylines to show off her acting as she did with the post natal depression

  • tvor

I'd say Nay but she probably will.

  • Dilly Daydream

Yes, I've noticed that Sue. He doesn't even say "I'm going t'shop" or "Let's go t'pub" etc like some of them do, does he? And he says "likkle" instead of little, and he used to make me smile when he called Maxine "Maxime". Poor soul, not only does he have to suffer a ploughed field in his forehead, he has a speech impediment too :-)

  • Sue

I forgot to add. Is it me or does Ashley not use the word "to"? He's always saying things like "I'm going shop" or "Let's go pub" or in the past "I'm going me Uncle Fred's". Strange.

  • Sue

No, for the same reason as above. Julia Haworth is beginning to come out of her shell, whereas Steven Arnold is showing more and more what a poor actor he is. Perhaps Claire and Ashley can get divorced and he can go away. Although dividing up the kids would be interesting. In the meantime, where are Ken and Dreary, Blanche, Betty, Jack, Vera?

  • Anonymous

Yes, so that this storyline doesn't drag on for any longer!

  • Dilly Daydream

Not sure...personally, I wouldn't but Claire probably will forgive him. Forget, however, is a different kettle of fish!!
