Happy Golden Anniversary, Jack and Vera Duckworth

Jack and Vera Duckworth celebrate their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary this week on Coronation Street with a party in the Rovers on Wednesday 22nd August. Jack and Vera were married on August 19 in 1957. However, it later turned out tha Jack had lied about his age at their first wedding and so they were remarried in Las Vegas in 1997. The Duckworths will surely be missed as a couple when Vera leaves our screens later this year. I still feel that it signals the end of a Corrie era.
