I do enjoy a good satire, and I had a nice chuckle at these cartoons that I found from the early 1980s. I can't date them but I'd guess at around 1983, when there were scandals about actors 'selling their story'. The caption reads 'Forget the script - just keep talking about your private lives'. Like some other Coronation Street actors, Jack was awarded the the MBE in the 1983 Honours list. The cartoon is based around the joke that Albert Tatlock rarely bought a drink in the Rovers and would always find a way of getting someone else to pay.
