Behind the scenes in Malta with Corrie

There’s a good behind the scenes look at fiming in Malta which was shown on ITV’s This Morning programme. The video is hosted here under the title of A Maltese Special on the itv.com website. It’s a lovely little video and well worth a look as you get to see how they did the Coronation Street filming in the staggering 108 degrees heat with Sue Cleaver (Eileen) and Simon Gregson (Steve) on the Maltese island of Gozo.

And if you haven’t seen it already, this is the hotel they used for filming out there.

Hi, I am the new spa manager at the hotel ta'cenc, Gozo, Malta, having just moved over to this paradise island from the UK. I was working in the spa whilst the filming was carried out, my claim to fame is now that I supplied the cast with lovely, fluffy orange and white towels! (and arranged for the air conditioning to be switched off for the sound engineer) It truly is a great place to stay, a place of inner peace and quietness. Obviously, our therapists are highly trained and offer some fantastic treatments. if you do decide to venture over here, please come and say "hello". It is a great place for a spa break.
