Jim McDonald returns to Coronation Street

YAAAH!! I love Jim and have been wanting him back forever!! There is no comparison between him and Vernon. However, Jim could hook up with someone who really wants him. Liz isn't the only tart er, I mean woman on the Street!!

I am so pleased that Jim is coming back, it is a pity it is only 6 weeks, I think Liz and Vernon are entertaining, but I think there is a place forJim in the street, so many stories can be made around him.

I'm really pleased Jim is coming back. I actually like Vernon and think he's a wonderfully comic character, but it will be fun to see what happens when Jim comes back. Liz will have to make up her mind which man she wants (well, she probably will want both and one or two others too, but you know what I mean). I hope Charlie Lawson will stay for longer than six weeks - I'd like this to run for a while.

YAY!!!! Jim was one of the very first characters I actually liked when my father made me start watching.

It will be very entertaining to see his interactions with both the newer characters, and the ones that remain from the last time he was actually on. Too bad I'll have to wait for a year and a half.

Excellent news, just seen it in this evening's press too - wonderful that Charlie Lawson's coming back, always loved his storylines - see how he gets on with Steve and kicks that awful Vernon into touch - come on Jim v Vernon - no contest!

It doesn't seem to be 'official' yet. It says he is 'about to sign a deal' so hopefully he does. I don't know how many times I've seen articles saying a character is coming back, then find out that actor hasn't even been in talks with the show.

I would like to see Jim back on the Street for a few weeks. I can see Jim and Vernon having some great scenes together.

Another character with absolutely no redeeming qualities. Hopefully the six weeks will NOT be extended.

I am yet to be convinced that his return can be a good thing.

Yay!!!!! I"m really looking forward to this. I always liked the chemistry between Jim and Liz. I can't see them having him escape again so he must be finally out on parole a little early and wanting to see his family. I can't wait to see what he makes of Vernon! Mincemeat i'm thinking ;)
