David Platt to really lose the plot?

I hope it doesn't happen - maybe David could appear to go that way or pull some kind of sick prank with a fake gun that causes - I dunno, someone to finally step in. (Where the hell is Martin?? Has he come back in England at all - I'm in Canada.) Really don't want Jack P. Sheppard to leave the show - he's brilliant! I always thought they'd send him down the Steve MacDonald route - make him a bit bad for a few years, even send him to the nick for a bit, then bring him back older, wiser, but still interesting. Don't go, Jack!

Personally, I prefered the real deal. Jack P Shepherds acting is incredible, it could have made extremely powerful viewing.

umm, if david is meant to kil himself, that means that Jack P Shepherd is leaving the show, suely if that is so we would have heard about him leaving in the same way that we heard about Tina O'brien leaving. I think that the storyline sounds a bit too extreme and that it would be more realistic for him to be discovered to have a mental illnees

Its probably hyped up, David will get a fake gun, and make his family think he has gone bonkers

all I can say is that Corrie better get a real kick up the butt if this plot happense as the world is already bad enough without bring this crap in to the story line.

lets just go back to who sleeping with who and getting away with it and whos gay and not on the show, thats better fun than all this crap they have David doing we all know why he has truned out the way he has so lets leave it that way, and have him do crazy plots like his letter scam rather than killing thiers already enough of that in real life.

I dont think it's unrealistic at all, David lost the plot ages ago- he clearly doesnt think like normal humans and I've always thought he'd go the same way as his stepdad did.

I have mixed feelings about the story though- I think it's brilliant.... but I dont want to loose my favourite character!

Well I agree that it would be an extreme story line and one that would be more at home in 'America' but to be honest David is completely out of control and it will take something pretty far out there to shake him back to 'reasonable behavior' - the fact the his 'father' has not even been mentioned (at least here in Canada so far) is a major issue in my mind. Why would you not notify Mar'in about his son's completely out of control behavior.

It would be more interesting to see Gail implement some 'tough love' and kick him out, make him try to get by without his families support.

David's a brilliant charatcer and I dont see how he can stay on the show after that so I hope it's not true...

didnt the Daily Mirror also say that it was because they were making jokes about his sexuality, and he says to Jason "I hate the lot of you. I'll kill you, you know. It's not hard to get a gun."

i think he could put on a comedic edge but i hope this isn't true. the character couldn't really remain in the show if it was and david's one of my faves.
