A week or so ago we blogged the 'shock' exit that is planned for Cilla Battersby-Brown. Now, What's On TV is suggesting that Cilla will run off to Las Vegas in a storyline supposedly based around the life of Anna-Nicole Smith. Right. The website also says that: 'her exit will be one that will leave old enemy Janice green with envy.' Why would Janice be envious? Perhaps she'd be annoyed if Cilla had left with Charlie West. [Ben]

Cant say that I really care. Cilla was originally a good character but has palled of late. She never should have come back after she pretended she had cancer and stole all the money given by the good folk of the Street. Without Les, this character has no point really.
Unfortunately Cilla has been as casualty of Bruce Jones's suspension and eventual dismissal. She has some very funny one liners, but any credibility of the character has since vanished thanks to staid writing. I'll miss Wendi Peters but not so much Cilla.
I'll miss Cilla but yes, she didn't work as well without Les as a double act.
I love Cilla. She has had some fantastic one liners this past month.
I think the storyline of her running off to Las Vegas is kinda dumb....when you come to the USA you can't stay that long here as foreign nationals...Her character may be back...or maybe they will kill her off when she is gone.
If they want to really make it good, jettison the Anna Nicole idea and make her more of a Bonnie Lee Bakely (sp?), the wife Robert Blake was accused of shooting. She'd totally be the type to stalk celebs and try to blackmail/marry them for money!
